EXPO SAUNA TAIYO NO TSUBOMI
The Expo sauna, "TAIYO NO TSUBOMI," is located at the western edge of the venue, overlooking Osaka Bay. This open, scenic waterfront sauna offers an immersive experience that embodies the theme of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai: "Designing Future Society for Our Lives. Petal-shaped air membrane cushions come together to form a single bud, creating a beautifully dynamic structure that stretches toward the sun, brimming with vitality. The energy of the sun, immersed in the air of the sea, plants, and wind, pours down onto the "TAIYO NO TSUBOMI (Sun Bud)." The delicate yet powerful membrane creates an environment filled with natural energy, harmonizing our minds and bodies and guiding us back to the core of our humanity. The space, enveloped by an ETFE film* membrane that allows natural light to filter through, glows gracefully with LED lighting, harmonizing with the ever-changing nature of Osaka Bay across the seasons and time. The sauna offers a completely new 'co-creation' space, embodying a future society that values “warmth and harmony.” *ETFE film: A high-performance fluoropolymer material that has been processed into a film. The wrinkles of these problems can lead to the lives of pets and animals. We will share this information with participants and take steps to improve the situation!

Our approach for the future to reduce food loss issue
It is a big challenge for us to reduce food loss issue by upcycling a vegetable waste, "Mottaizai" with technology of 3D food printer and paper making. For 3D food printer, Mottaizai will be reprocessed into a food ink. This ink with 3D printer could open up a new world of food with wonderful taste and appearance. Mottaizai waste will be reprocessed into paper materials for packaging. No waste is left with our challenge. Participants may have the oppotunity to think a food loss issue more than ever through our exhibition. Hope participants feel excited to build the future of food with no loss.

Based on the concept of "we all build new balue," we will provide experiential content that allows you to feel the cycle of "vehicles = life" with your whole body. No matter how much technology advances, it is "people" who make the most of it. KONOIKE GROUP utilizes a variety of special-purpose vehicles to support customer services and social infrastructure. "Vehicles = life" are created by human hands, come to life with human power, and eventually come to an end and are recycled. Visitors will be able to experience the true appearance of many such "vehicles" through video footage.

about me special What do people gain through expression? Why do they express and for what purpose? To them, what does expression mean? Living and expressing are deeply connected with each other. “about me” is an exhibition to close in on the secret of expression of persons with disabilities. By looking at their daily lives, as well as their personal and social relationships in the background, visiting the sites of their art production, paying attention to the creators, supporters, and welfare facilities, and displaying their artworks together with text, photos, and videos, it is our hope to shed light on the lives of creators and the current state of welfare services from multiple angles with the emphasis on their creative activities.
