Governor Shapiro is right to condemn antisemitic violence, but what about Israel's violence against Palestinians? I have seen photos and videos of Israeli soldiers laughing in destroyed homes, wearing stolen clothes, mocking the families they killed or displaced. This is not self-defense. This is cruelty.
If we want to stop hate, we must be honest. Israel's actions create anger. When you bomb neighborhoods, steal land, and kill civilians for decades, you cannot act surprised when people react. The U.S. gives Israel billions in weapons, then acts shocked when those weapons are used to commit war crimes.
You cannot claim to care about Jewish safety while ignoring Palestinian suffering. Either all lives matter, or none do. Israel's actions have consequences, and if it keeps going this way, more people will see its supporters as part of the problem.
