Stop ⚠️Microwaving ⚠️ Plastic ⚠️🫣From food packaging to cookware, we are exposed to microplastics and potentially harmful chemicals every, single, day in our homes. The only way to reduce our exposure to microplastics is to stop making so much plastic. It’s time to demand a strong Global #PlasticsTreaty to cut plastic production!Add your name to sign the petition >> act.gp/3EjfF…#BreakFreeFromPlastic

This coating belongs to a group of chemicals called (PFAS) otherwise known as the "forever chemicals" because they are highly persistent and toxic. This is cause for concern when teflon is overheated releasing toxic fumes or PFAS into your meal, or it gets scratched - resulting in micro or nano plastics entering the food.'

As more research comes out on the health impacts of plastic, the general advice should be never to heat plastic and to limit it as much as possible in the kitchen to reduce microplastic and chemical exposure.'

It is clear that the current economic system we live in does not serve our planet, nor the people that live on it. Can we imagine and build alternative systems emerge to tackle the climate crisis?

VICTORY! New oil and gas projects can no longer be approved without assessing the climate impact of the fossil fuels they produce — including emissions from their eventual use.Emissions can’t be hidden, downplayed or ignored when authorising new drilling.Crucially, the public must be involved before any decision is made.Governments MUST be more vigilant in protecting us from climate harm.Think polluters should pay for climate damages?Sign the PollutersPayPact 👉 act.gp/4mBDx…

This is the Runit Dome in the Marshall Islands — built by the U.S. to contain radioactive waste from decades of nuclear weapons testing. Beside it lies the crater from one of those massive explosions. The Dome was never meant to last. Now, rising seas threaten to crack it open, risking the release of radioactive waste into the ocean. This is where nuclear injustice collides with climate injustice.
