Yurong “Luanna” Jiang (蒋雨融) has been a “long-term volunteer” at
China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF / 绿发会 for short), a Chinese “NGO”, where her father Jiang Zhiming (蒋志明) has been an executive director at one of its dedicated funds (绿色未来专项基金) (lower right pic).
Zhou Jinfeng (周晋峰), the founding president and current secretary general of CBCGDF, wrote a letter of recommendation for Yurong “Luanna” Jiang as she applied for admission into Harvard, and her father thanked Zhou in a post after her daughter received an offer from Harvard Kennedy School in 2022 (left and upper right pics). Zhou is also a co-Director of the Ecological Civilization Research Center at
Peking University’s Institute of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and a member of the Executive Committee of the Club of Rome.
Zhou was previously a member of the 9th, 10th and 11th National Committees of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).
As some commentators in China put it, Yurong “Luanna” Jiang is no ordinary person; she has connections.
