Seasonal National Flags
I've thought of an alternative universe where instead of countries being categorized as labels like "first world" or "third world", they were categorized by seasons. However, tackling real countries is very hard and can lead to controversial results, so I'm making custom ones, hence the hashtag.
I'm really sorry if the concept is boring. Most of you aren't familiar with the idea of custom countries, (I even got hate from the countryball and anti-countryhuman community for talking about this concept) so I wanted to start with simple ideas, just so you guys can dip your toes in this pool of strange worlds. Here are the four flags I made:
Estival Nation
A nation driven by chaos, instability, and lack of norms. I chose the yellow colour and sun symbol for a very obvious reason, but I gave it three stripes unlike the other three, because this estival nation is so chaotically unique compared to others. Hell, it's almost the opposite of the next one.
Autumnal Nation
A conservative nation that puts lots of value on history. It was once rebellious against the other seasons, which is why you see two squiggly lines on the flags, symbolizing chilly autumnal winds and movement, but it had since stabilized, so much so it doesn't bother to change its outdated flag.
Vernal Nation
The symbol and background in the flag are very generic here. It's the colours that have intention. Green and white have overlapping meanings, so I'll just list them here: peace, purity, nature, health, and the promise of new beginnings. The colours are grey-ish to convey calm and order. Overall, an intentional and easy-to-see chromatic choice, just like for the next flag.
Hibernal Nation
This one's also pretty generic, but, usually, in logos and stuff, you see a cyan snowflake with a white backdrop. This time, I flipped the colours and made them darker to imply authority and the night.
Sometimes, colours defy their popular meaning, so I used this shade of blue to give viewers a false sense of trust and stability. Also, I plan to pair this flag with a black-clothed countryhuman to add edginess and mystery.
Overall, I want to subtly show that this hibernal nation seems reliable at first, but is actually hiding something. Thank you for your interest, and please leave a comment OR send an ask to my main blog if you have any questions about my Kanka world.
