An AU where Hikage, Banjo, and En are idols or in a band. I just think it would be funny. Thank you!
I went a little off prompt, but they're all still in the music industry (which I know nothing about).
- Banjo is a country singer. A good one who goes by the stage name of Lariat. Unfortunately, he's not very successful and had to pick up a second job to be able to eat, but he still enjoyed performing. But he's having some writer's block while trying to come up with a new song. He decides to take a break and visit his rural home town where he runs into the quiet kid from high school, Hikage Shinomori. After a bit of catching up (Hikage works on a farm now) he asks if he wants to help him write a song. No mystical feeling or anything, he was just desperate. Hikage is surprised, but agrees on the condition that Banjo doesn't tell anyone he helped write it, not wanting the spotlight. Banjo agrees.
- A little later, he hears about some talent scouts for a big music company and decides to audition. There, he performs one of the songs he and Hikage wrote and they love it! He's finally gotten his big break!! He calls and tells Hikage the news who's very happy for his friend. But Banjo feels guilty that Hikage isn't getting anything and asks if he's sure he doesn't want anything. Hikage hesitates, but eventually tells him that he would like to partner up with him as his official songwriter but doesn't want his real name and face out there. Blah, blah, blah, legal stuff, and Hikage gets to help him write songs, but he does so under a fake name and never shows his face to the public.
- Banjo becomes one of the most popular country singers in the country. Meanwhile, En is also trying his hardest to get noticed, going by the stage name of Gaen, but he's more on the techno side of things. Banjo heard his demo and, while that's not his forte, he sent it to some people and En became a hit. He later realized it was Banjo who helped him and tracked him down at a party to thank him and they became friends despite their difference in genre.
- En still wants to do something to thank him and asks about making a song together. Banjo and Hikage don't have a problem, but unfortunately, their employers do. You see, AFO and Yoichi each own a different company. Yoichi owns the one Banjo and Hikage work for, while AFO owns the one En works for. They each started their companies to spite the other and have one very important rule stated in every contract: No working with the other company. In fact, the two brothers haven't spoken to each other in years after a falling out years ago.
- They decide to try and get Yoichi to break the silence first since he's not as scary and get the story of what happened. It all started in high school. AFO was student council president who was rumored to have done some shady stuff for the position while Yoichi was president of the anime/manga club. Kudou and his friend Bruce had a band, and they were actually good, but no one took them seriously because they also had a bit of a delinquent reputation. Well, Yoichi fell in love with Kudou and his brother was not happy about it. AFO went all "You'll never last." "You're too good for him." "He'll probably get arrested for posession of drugs. And maybe even take you with him" "Look at that tattoo!" (He said all this when Yoichi brought him over for dinner). Sometime after they turned 18 and were looking at colleges, Yoichi mentioned trying to get into the same college Kudou was, which is what got them into a huge argument where things got out of hand. Yoichi ended up moving in with Kudou's family and AFO didn't do anything to bring him back, certain that they wouldn't last a year and Yoichi would come back on his own. They got married six months later, and AFO made a huge scene at the wedding where they got into another argument, which is what led to them not speaking to each other. Yoichi actually does want to see his brother again, but pride and fear have gotten in the way.
- Of course, when AFO is asked, he'll go on about the delinquent who stole his brother away, which they all know isn't true since they met Kudou and he's actually a really nice guy. They're stumped and about to give up, when a chance opportunity comes in the form of AFOs son. Izuku is a huge fan of All Might, who works for Yoichi's company and says he'll convince his dad to talk to his uncle if they can get him All Might's autograph. And they all have to give him an autograph too. Yes Hikage, you too.
- You'd think it would be an epic journey that takes 30 minutes of the movie, but All Might's a nice guy who just happens to be really busy. So, all Lariat has to do is call him and explain the situation and he comes right over. Turns out, he always really wanted to do a song with the famous Seven (aka Nana Shimura) who works for AFO, so not only does he give an autograph, but actually does what's basically a mini-interview with how many questions Izuku is asking.
- Within a week AFO and Yoichi have made up. More stuff happens between them, but the important thing is that Lariat and Gaen can finally collab and Izuku gets VIP tickets to the next All Might concert.
Bonus: Bruce was the one who dragged AFO out of the wedding by socking him in the stomach so hard he flew back and banged his head on a table. He felt a weird sense of satisfaction for that. Almost like he had gotten back at him for something...
Hey for the ask thing, got any general headcanons on En?
SO MANY! I put 20 the last time I answered a question like this, but then I remembered I forgot to expand on some of my reasons. So, I'll do that and give some new headcanons too.
- Because there is no "6" in his name anywhere, I give him everything in sixes. Like making him the youngest of six children. Having six different jackets in six different colors. His favorite book series has six books. His favorite TV brand is Roku. Anywhere I can put a six in, I do, for no reason other than spite. (Which is why I like to headcanon him as a little spiteful too. I'd be spited if everyone else got a number pun but me. Maybe he, Kudou, and Bruce can make a club if the latter two don't get number pun names later)
- Wearing that thick jacket over his mouth, he's either always really cold or constantly overheating. I went with the latter so he likes to eat ice cream, even in the winter.
- I like to think he uses a bunch of ninja style weapons and stuff (and fans, like the ones Midnight had). But I once had a dream where he was hammering something down, slipped and hurt his thumb. Banjo laughed at him and he started threatening to bash his head in with the hammer. Ever since then, I haven't been able to get the idea of En with a hammer out of my head, so along with ninja stars and smoke bombs, that's what he uses.
- He's also a fan of Naruto.
- I like to think he likes reptiles because he's afraid of bugs and they eat bugs. And I don't blame him after seeing the type of bugs Japan has. Never googling that again.
- Since Tayutai apparently means something along the lines of shaking, he tends to tremble when he's nervous. And also enjoys milkshakes.
- Even when he's not in costume he always has something covering his face.
- He really likes the cold. Partly due to that thick jacket but also because he just likes it.
- There was a time in his life where he tried those really thick soled shoes for extra height but didn't change anything else about his style (which is just your regular pants and long-sleeved shirt). He stopped wearing those after a kid told him he looked like a boring, sad clown.
- I can't believe I forgot the very obvious one that I still want to state. Smoke pours out of his ears when he gets angry. BUT! Depending on the emotion, smoke pours out elsewhere. Like it comes out of his eyes when he's sad (which makes him cry if he's not crying already) and from the top of his head if he's overwhelmed/tired.
- I like to think the default smoke color is purple, but if he happens to eat a lot of things of one color, it'll come out that color. Like if he ate a lot of kiwis his smoke would turn green.
And that's it for this list since the last one had so many.
Because I love villain AUs, what about this? An AU where En, Banjo, and Hikage are all villains. Thank you!
I'm not sure of the age difference between all of them (because Hikage being 40 at death could mean Banjo was like, 39 when he died) so let's just say they're the same age and En is 5 years younger.
- Hikage was not a willing villain. AFO saw how close he was with Third and wanted to try and use him against the then current OFA holder, but couldn't bring himself to do it. Hikage just reminded him too much of his Yoichi, so he did the next best thing and kidnapped him before he got OFA and stuck him in the vault. After realizing Hikage enjoyed the isolation of the vault, AFO figured he needed a new torture method to get him to join in villainy.
- That method came in the form of a young Banjo, who was yet to become a hero and was still looking for work. AFO basically said he'd pay him to be his son's friend. Not the job he wanted, but he couldn't afford to be picky. After an initial rocky start, the two actually became good friends and Hikage was really coming out of his shell. Then AFO threatened to kill Banjo if Hikage didn't join him in villainy. With no other option, he agreed. Banjo joined him, but he didn't know the true nature of the operation until later.
- It was only revealed to him once AFO was sure that Banjo had been molded enough that he wouldn't see anything wrong with what AFO was doing (plus he keeps the really bad stuff away from everyone else). This was also the time when Banjo would meet a young En. He had just started his underground career, but was struggling to make ends meet. Banjo saw potential in him and offered to recommend him to his boss. En agreed, not seeing the harm and found himself being recruited to spy on the newly formed HPSC. As much as he wanted to say no, AFO had the power to get him to a place where he would not only have more spying opportunities, but more money. So, he agreed. And so we have an unwilling Hikage, a brainwashed Banjo, and a poor En all being puppetered by All For One.
- One day, Hikage sees an opportunity for escape and takes it, hoping he could get back to Third. Only to see Third's body lying in AFO's arms, a big smile on his face. Turns out AFO engineered the escape opportunity all so Hikage could see the last remnant of his hope die. And it works. He's broken, to the point where even Banjo can barely get him to smile.
- As it would turn out, En got OFA early. He ran into Third before the fight because all he knew was that he had something AFO wanted. He was prepared to put on act to get it, but when AFO shows up, Third just shoves his bloody fingers in his mouth and runs off. Stunned, En went up to AFO to tell him about what happened. AFO quickly tries to take the quirk, but can't. He has Banjo tie up En and take him somewhere until he can figure out what to do (which is mainly what Banjo does under his employment).
- After figuring out that it must work by DNA transfer, he asks En to do what Third did to him. He really didn't want to, but it was better than the alternative. As he did so, all he could think was "I just want to give him what he wants" which was good enough for the OFA transfer. OFA tried to resist, but En's pretty strong-willed and at last, AFO has his little brother back.
- With all of En's intelligence, he's got enough to topple the HPSC and get rid of the heroes Yoichi loved so much. So, he plans to hill him. Mainly because he didn't want more people to know about how he got OFA than strictly necessary. And why have a replacement Yoichi when you have the real one? He plans to kill Hikage and Banjo too, but they run away with En to the forest, thanks to Hikage's Danger Sense. AFO could try to chase them down, but he doesn't care when he has his little brother back. Now it's time to take over the world to make it nice and safe for his Yoichi. He'll find away to restore him back into his body eventually.
- Meanwhile, in the forest, there's a debate over what they should do. The HPSC is gone, pretty much all the heroes are dead, and AFO has crowned himself as Emperor. They've all just begun to realize how badly they messed up and Banjo argues they should do something to fix it. En says it's too dangerous and Hikage is just too broken to do anything. He only ran away because he didn't want them to die. In the end, they did the most villainous thing of all: Nothing. They stayed in that forest until they died of old age, living with the guilt of the part they played in society's downfall. And without OFA, they had to live much longer.
...Man this actually turned out really sad.

I made a meme about this, so let's see how it goes when their skills vary.
- Yoichi was AFOs first choice, but he was out of town with his boyfriends, so Inko asked her co-worker and fellow secretary at All Might's agency, Toshinori Yagi, who agreed. Unfortunately, literal seconds after AFO and Inko left, All Might was needed, so in a rush, he accidentally scrolled too far on his contacts and called Lariat instead of Eraserhead without noticing. He tried to backtrack, but too late, Lariat shows up.
- It goes well, for the most part. He's energetic enough to keep up with a four-year-old and Izuku is well-behaved enough that he doesn't cause problems. He just asks for an autograph and questions about hero work, writing it all down in the new notebook he got (along with some doodles). Then it's dinnertime. Banjo mainly relies on microwavable food for energy and doesn't really know how to cook, but figures that a kid should get something healthier. He tries to do something simple and homemade and sets the kitchen on fire. (Izuku was in the living room and is fine) Needing an excuse for all the smoke, he calls his fellow hero Gaen and begs him to cover for him. En does him one better and shows up to help babysit. Hikage shows up at the same time as En. He wasn't invited, he just sensed that Banjo was doing something stupid.
- En is a great babysitter, in that he knows how to cook dinner and "for the love of All Might, just because there's no drugs or sex does not make it appropriate, give me the remote-" Izuku somehow manages to realize he was an underground hero and begged for an autograph, which he gave. (He tried to hide how pleased he was and failed). But it was a great opportunity for him to get to know Hikage, having only heard of him through stories. They get along great.
- Hikage is... Ok. He's not a hero so he doesn't peak Izuku's interest as much and he can't really match the wild energy a toddler has, but he still does a decent job keeping Banjo from cussing in front of a kid and he's a lot more observant, so he manages to catch Izuku before he hits the ground after rocking back in his chair a little too far.
- He also manages to get Izuku to bed quickly. But that's because he bored him to sleep by talking about how trees grow and what they need for it and all that. Though to be fair, anything not hero related would have made him fall asleep. All in all, a success. Until Hisashi (aka, one of the newer villains AFO) walks in with his wife to see two heroes and a weirdo he didn't invite sitting on his couch watching TV. They were lucky Inko was there to keep him from killing them. As for Toshinori... Well, he was unlucky enough to have Inko be the one to chastise him.
Thankfully for them, Izuku did not know Toshinori was All Might. Otherwise Banjo would've been walking in to a full on meltdown.
I'm excited for the Mid May contest! Could I please have five headcanons for Hikage taking his fellow vestiges on a camping trip deep in the wilderness?
Hooray, a vestige camping trip!
- The vestige world has expanded and there's a bunch of new forest territory all around. They need to investigate and they let Hikage take the lead since he's the most experienced with forests. Toshinori Vestige stays on his throne since he's not really all there and they don't want anything to happen to him.
- Banjo is the only one who doesn't cause trouble because he also knows a lot about forests since he hung out with Hikage all the time in the woods. Though they all try not to cause any trouble since it's clear Hikage is nervous having to lead. Unfortunately, Yoichi keeps getting distracted by nature and eventually ends up getting separated from the group, putting Kudou into a panic and Banjo has to restrain him with Blackwhip to keep him from running off too.
- They spend hours looking for him, only for Nana to find him (she went up using Float) completely fine in a flower field, eating roses. Technically, being dead and all, they don't feel the need to eat or sleep but he likes the taste. After meeting up with him they all feel exhausted (because they can still feel that for some reason) and decide to camp there for a bit until they feel better.
- Their peace is disturbed by a burst of smoke as En thinks he saw a very large poisonous bug. It was just a leaf, but Nana was so surprised, she shot up in the air and realized they apparently had some very dark clouds. And then it started raining.
- They decide to just head back, and this time Banjo uses Blackwhip to restrain Yoichi, Kudou occasionally having to keep him from eating something poisonous. En and Nana have fun teasing each other and Hikage is just glad that it seemed to go well. Then Bruce comes up to him while they're walking and says he's proud of his successor for getting out of his comfort zone and leading them all. That moment makes it up to his top 10 happiest moments. Then they find out the vestiges can also get sick, but that's another story.

In the manga panel, they ended up far apart after being born (far for a newborn) and yet, AFO didn't first climb up to the scent of milk, but reached for his brother, who had no use for his survival, and saved him. My only theory for that is he was scared and overwhelmed by the sudden new environment and reached for the one familiar thing he knew. But he'd also lord his status as "elder twin by 5 seconds" over Yoichi's head every chance he gets.I think Yoichi would alternate between wanting to be grown up and left alone (partly due to AFOs clinginess and "Well, I'm the older twin" stuff) and only admit he's younger when it's convenient. Like if they're playing a board game that says the youngest goes first.And the clinginess definitely led to Yoichi being adventurous and subsequently getting into huge trouble. I imagine it like the myth of Phaethon. Except, instead of scorching the earth he tries to pick fights with bullies who are twice his size and ends up getting really hurt.Which is where AFOs BSS kicks in and he successfully beats them up for hurting his brother. It manifests in other ways too, but I'm going to assume they have a good mother raising them (or at least, one who doesn't hurt Yoichi, 'cuz AFO would kill her if she did) so yeah, it's not going to be as severe as canon if someone else is playing the main caretaker role. AFO's BSS would show in him helping his brother with homework, comforting him, defending him, and helping him clean if he ever broke something followed by helping him desperately cover it up. Yoichi knew his brother loved him because he held on and took care of him, but AFO? He probably got nothing but words back. If that seeing as they didn't learn manners until they were older. (He got a can to the head though)Yoichi got love in the way toddler's know. Stuff. AFO was forced to sacrifice for his brother, be called names, had people attempt to murder him, and more while Yoichi had it easier. I'm pretty sure the only reason AFO doesn't resent his brother is because he didn't know that's not how it's supposed to be. Well, that and he saw his brother as an object. Something to take good care of and defend, but not something that's equal to you. When you're poor, you take good care of the things you have because you might not be able to get another one. I'm sure if Yoichi died of hunger or something AFO would've gone ballistic. Kudo was going to start in nonsense and Bruce just dealt with that. Also something I noticed when looking back at the images here; Bruce has bandages on his arms in the void. But not when he faced AFO in the sewers. Were he and Kudo cutting their arms open in their experimenting over Yoichi's theory? Is this why Kudo has two gauntlets instead of his one? Why we never see his bare arms in the void? That he always keeps his arms down so there's no slip? Is smart enough to run blood tests, plus has enough common sense to pick Shinomori as his successorHe picked a guy who avoids society, has an Ability to detect danger so he can always stay away from AFO, is also a coward so he's never going to go throw himself into danger, even without knowing instinctively he stands no chance, etc. Meanwhile, Kudo chose Bruce, who he played Hot Potato Yoichi with; but he did also trust Bruce, and put the only pure combative Ability in OFA through Bruce. These two made their choices based on what they valued and saw the Factor needed. Is logical, analytical, and calm. He tried advising Midoriya on their Abilities in One For All, especially his own. Midoriya then tried ignoring him about using Fa Jin for the first time, but found he was right, thinking: "Dammit!! I had [Lady Nagant] right where I wanted her, but... ugh! The Third was right. My parallel Quirk processes are all screwed up!" (ch. 314). Plus, when Midoriya fixed his processing mistakes, Bruce was analyzing the way he reached his new conclusion. Pure facts, no bias, very calm, just saying it as it was. We never see him panic. When he's caught by surprise in the sewers by AFO, Kudo, and Yoichi's little bubble event, he immediately reacts. He doesn't falter, he just knows he has to do something right now.Was more willing to listen than Kudo to Yoichi's beckon, and probably was just following Kudo's rejection of Midoriya While we don't see Kudo's face, we see Bruce's eyes when Yoichi calls on his heroes. Bruce was more open and receptive, or at least more impacted.Bruce was also the one to start talking, while Kudo just kept quiet. He actually communicates a lotWhen Yoichi called them to support Midoriya, Bruce started talking to paint a picture of why they thought the way they did, so Yoichi understood where they were coming from. (Though he seems to beat about the bush sometimes, since Kudo spoke up to be direct on how they couldn't just put their trust in some starry-eyed teenager. Plus, when Kudo tells him to just tell him what's wrong [double Factors])When Midoriya first used Fa Jin against Nagant, Bruce came out just to tell him he knew what he was trying, but that Midoriya wasn't ready; and Midoriya found he was right. Midoriya just didn't want to listen to him then. He asks Kudo for clarification after finding Kudo had two Factors in him after the sewer incident ("Just to be sure, All For One didn't touch you, right?") Kudo knew him well enough to go "stop beating around the bush and tell me", so Bruce was probably gonna start with questions, theories, and trying to understand everything in general, before saying "yeah you have two Factors. Don't know why". Is strong-willed and loyal. He followed Kudo, even to death, carrying on the cause he started until it ended with him. Plus, when talking about how AFO needs a strong will to override OFA's own, we first see Bruce, Kudo, and Yoichi. AFO couldn't steal OFA because the will was too strong for him, and that was back during Banjo's time. Since Shinomori never actually tried opposing AFO and just hid, we can assume the first Three (Yoichi, Kudo, Bruce) already had an accumulation of strong willpower that made OFA un-stealable. Those three are a strong enough foundation, and the main wills, that the other users just become bonuses. Kudo, also saying that Midoriya needs allies with the same will and drive as him... hey Kudo, you're talking about yourself and your old allies, aren't you? That's why you look at Yoichi and Bruce when you say this.Not only is Bruce attractive, but he's got good character. THE END. #mha bruce#third one for all holder#You know what? fractiflosTo celebrate finishing Moondrop, it is now time for me to talk about other AUs that I hope to eventually get to. I've got too many other things right now. Well, I'll just be talking about the ones I haven't talked about here. But a quick honorable mention to the Frankenstein and Ice King AUs.Anyway...Jane Eyre AU - In which Inko is Jane, AFO is Mr. Rochester, and Garaki is Bertha. (Jane Eyre is my favorite 1800s novel)Actually, this one isn't serious, just a joke for the Ides of March that I forgot to put on here, but AU where the vestiges are senators and AFO is a dictator. Then they all team up to stab him to death, including Yoichi. AFOs last words are "Et tu, Yoichi?"AU where All Might could see the vestiges. But they're getting sick of him not taking care of himself (though he is a bit better about it due to being able to speak to Nana) and try to think of a way to help him somehow (especially Yoichi and Nana because they feel the guiltiest about what happened). So, when a chance to help him get a date comes up, you bet they take it. Sadly, much like in Ghastly Advice their dating advice is terrible and shenanigans ensue.Pokémon AU - I stayed up all night trying to world build and I still haven't gotten all their teams yet, but here's what I do have.Yoichi manages to catch an Eevee that just couldn't seem to evolve while AFO got (I haven't thought of a Pokémon for him yet) and both Yoichi and his eevee got vaulted. Then sometime after being rescued it evolves into a Sylveon. But after he dies, it mysteriously goes back to being an Eevee. Second takes care of it, and it somehow evolves into a Flareon without the use of a fire stone. He and Third run some tests and (I haven't figured out why the Eevee is so weird yet. Or a name for it. Maybe One For All?). Anyway, the eevee is passed down and evolves into a differently every time then goes back to being and eevee. Third gets a Vapereon, Hikage a Leafeon, Banjo a Jolteon, En an Umbreon, Nana a Glaceon, and Toshinori an Espeon.Anyway, there aren't quirks, it's just a universe with Pokémon. All Might's Espeon has gone mysteriously missing after a fight with AFO. At the same time, 9-year-old Deku would find an Eevee that just couldn't seem to evolve (which what sets off the bullying in this AU). He meets All Might (who is the Pokémon champion in Japan) and they train for 10 months so he can get into UA. In this AU, you have to go to a Pokémon school if you want a Pokémon-specific job. Izuku and Katsuki both want to be the next champion, but not everyone at UA does. For instance, Ochako wants a Pokémon license so she can get a team of Pokémon to help her parents construction company.You can only have 3 Pokémon max. Your own starter and one from each parent. Any more require a Pokémon license or you have to go through a long government process to explain why you should have the Pokémon. If you don’t have a license, you may not use them for commercial purposes (so like, helping you at your job, or non-paid battling). Basically, they're kind of like pets that can help you with unpaid labor. Pokémon trainer is a profession where you get paid for battling, by having to give money to the winner. And as I said, there is a chance that the receptor could die as well.Wow, I wasn't expecting to be asked for my thoughts on this question!(Before I answer, I should say I haven't actually read those chapters, I just saw the leak translations on here because I don't know where everyone else is able to read it.)Anyway, I do think that they managed to get a little milk. ShigaMom hadn't been dead for too long, so she still had some, which is why Baby For One bit her breast, to get to the milk. Plus, he was strong enough to carry Yoichi, so he might've helped him get the milk on the other breast, as Baby Yoichi still should've been able to smell her.But, that wouldn't have lasted long.I'm of the belief that someone found two newborns suckling on their dead mom and thought, "I should get these children to a hospital". So, the milk helped them hold on for a little bit until someone came and called an ambulance or something and they were taken care of. From there, I say they got abandoned once people realized the white hair was there to stay, about 2-3 maybe. And I can see AFO not wanting to admit someone other than him cared for Yoichi as the scene seemed to be his POV (but his thought process is a different topic).However, I do have a very stupid theory that I can't get out of my head, so thank you for giving me the excuse to talk about it.
