Ah, good ol’ Roger Ebert. I miss him. He was my go-to guy if I was looking for a movie review. He had an old school spirit, yet he did not avoid innovation, if used with discretion. He really knew his stuff, and I found his reviews insightful and, most of the time, on point. Sadly the site now bearing his name, which he helped create before he died, has not lived up to his standard. Still, it serves as a valuable archive of all of his pre-2013 movie reviews.

That’s a greatly detailed, vivid & somewhat funny story, John. It’s proper shit you were unduly punished with a couple of chick flicks, though – which effectively turned your experience into a Horror story. Poor bastard 😟. Great memory, though 👊

As regards to: “Deadpool’s ‘Dead or Alive you’re coming with me’ is from this film.” – that line & variations of it, were commonly used in Westerns from Bounty Hunters, Outlaws & Sheriffs & Westerns originated way back in the 1930’s, mate ✌️

I do stand by it though, as I interpret HeyPavs’ last line as “Please keep doing what you have been doing, including the occasional golden oldie.” While to me it doesn’t sound like pressure, I can see where it could.

By the way, in the deleted thread, my reply was to Reza. We were in the last column and your post was above mine so it looked like it was for you. Had I realized, I would’ve put an @Reza.

PSA have always uploaded older movies when they’ve the free time to do so, but their definition of “free time”, is time they could be spending with their loved-ones & not trying to appease obsessed movie lovers like ourselves, though.

So & with all due respect, Buddy – don’t put pressure on Doc & Valhalla to increase their already maxed-out workloads please ✌️

Had an issue on linux with extracting the .rar files, perhaps because it was in two parts, but not really a problem. Had to install something called unrar and it extracted just fine. Thanks for the upload!

I though “CLoud Atlas” was a decent movie, but not great. I definitely could have lived without seeing it.
