The Pac-Man franchise has thus far performed phenomenally well on Nintendo's home console. The already-released Pac-Man World 2 and the Pac-Man Player's Bundle have sold through some 240,000 and 230,000 units respectively on GameCube in the US alone.
Namco has not yet officially announced Pac-Man World's End and therefore few game details are available. It will be a single-player title, however, according to Nintendo's website. The site also indicates that the game will release in the fourth quarter of 2004, but this information could be false. Sources close to Namco told IGN that though another Pac-Man title is in development for GameCube, it will not ship this year.
IGN contacted Namco's public relations firm for more insight, but the company did not immediately return our phone call.
