At least amongst the reported instances, this one stands out since the USS Decatur close encounter in 2018. CUES doesn’t exist in Beijing’s dictionary so long it isn’t expedient for its SCS goals.

The Philippine Navy also revealed an undated incident between the 051B-class destroyer Shenzhen and a Gregorio del Pilar-class patrol ship in the service’s 127th anniversary video. From the ships present, this appears to have taken place during/around Balikatan 2024.
