I swapped out the colloidal silver nasal spray info for xylitol nasal spray info. I originally included colloidal silver spray because of the linked study and recommendation from RTHM, but I don't want to be pointing people toward something with notable health risks. Xylitol spray (Xlear) is also cheaper and more widely available!

His actual permission was: “I want you to make whatever art your heart desires. Get as weird with it as you want, give me a fever dream.” This man is so much funnier than I could ever be. The first story shared with me was fairly innocuous. The couple likes to split up who gets the last crumblies in bags of treats. If they polish off a thing of chocolates one of them gets to tip the bag back and inhale the ghostly whispers of flavor left in the container. But the item in question was one of those tubs of chocolate salted caramels from Costco. “Can I finish this?” He asked. “Go nuts,” they said. It’s worth noting that N knew this was a terrible idea but it didn’t occur to them to warn him. They simply accepted that their partner wanted to take a face full of sea salt. He threw back the container and was immediately assaulted get it with the massive granules of salt instead of the chocolate dust he’d been hoping for. He coughed and choked while N started laughing hysterically and realized a moment too late that he didn’t think about the contents before tossing it back. But today they shared another story. They were settled up in bed. He was making eye contact with N when he popped a catnip Greenie treat into his mouth. The horror, they informed me, was instantaneous. “Worse than the caramel salt?” I asked. “So much worse. Because he did this in a bizarre power play and committed way too hard to the bit.”When I asked his motivation the sum of it was that he’d been compelled by forces outside his control. He simply obeyed the exhortations of his soul. As a result he stared into his partners soul as tears and regret filled his eyes with each crunch. The best thing though was that apparently one day N came home to find G in the workshop. He was crouched over an array of M&M’s like a mad scientist, X-acto knife in hand. But he only had green and yellow on his operating table. He was carefully cutting each color in half and sticking yellow to green in a freakish Frankenstein of green and yellow candy coating. According to N it was a not insignificant number of candies that had been surgically spliced together, an assembly line of confectionary madness. I've found the kind with the silicone band stay put the best. I prefer to wear mine over leggings or yoga pants. supernovasolaceI'm a former content creator who's been largely absent from social media for a couple of years. I told myself I was going to take a short mental health break from all the negativity, but between severe burnout and a car accident upending my entire life, I've been gone a LOT longer than I'd expected. Now that I've recovered some spoons and am working towards self-employment again, I know getting myself back out into the public square is unavoidable. But to be honest, I've been dreading the thought of being visible again. Because this time, I'm doing so as an openly neurodivergent, disabled, queer, and nonbinary person—and I know that puts an even bigger target on my back than the one I crumpled under. Lately I've been trying to prepare myself and harden my mental defenses, and today I was thinking about how strange it is that random people take time out of their day to leave shitty or hateful comments. That's when I realized: I've never done that. My family and friends don't do that. My target audience doesn't do that. Creators I look up to and want to learn from don't do that. So if we can rule out all of those people, I'm left with just one question: why should I give a flying fuck about what anyone else thinks? If criticism isn't coming from someone who I am in community with, learning from, or trying to reach out to, why should their input hold any weight? Moving forward, I'm making a personal rule that I will only accept negative feedback from people whose opinion SHOULD matter to me. If a critic shows good intentions and is genuinely offering me a chance to improve my art, fantastic. But if not? Draw your hair curl. Make it complex with thick and thin lines.
Make a duplicate layer of your curl, and color it with your outline color (Black here). Drag it below the color layer. Select the black shape with the marquee tool, and press ctrl+C because we're going to make a lot of copies. Press ctrl+V. Move the new black duplicate a little to the left. Repeat this step, move one copy a little bit left, one a little bit right, one a little bit up, and one a little bit down. I mange this very quickly with ctrl v and arrow keys. Merge all the black layers into one, and leave the color layer separate. You wind up with this. But you're not finished.
With the erase tool, erase part of the color layer to separate the curls where they overlap. You get this really nice curly shape without having to fiddle with it or draw perfect smooth lines.
To color the lineart, just color the black layer.
Add more curls in layers, and finish your drawing.
There's no right way to do this, this is just how I do it because it's easy and fun for me.#art tutorials

I'm planning on treating myself to some new piercings on the day that I mail it, so now all that's left to do is decide on the day and make an appointment. I'm making a point to take my time and enjoy the calm before the storm—finally being at this point feels so surreal.supernovasolaceUpdate: I now have an appointment for Saturday the 14th! That gives me ten days for the nerves to settle. supernovasolaceTrying new medications is such a crapshoot with comorbidities. I'm going through trauma therapy with an autonomic nervous system that's already out of whack, and I'm so fucking done with racing thoughts while I'm trying to sleep and nightmares and that I agreed to try prazosin at my PCP's behest. But like, my cPTSD is probably getting worse because my SNS is too activated in the first place? And prazosin could help, but it could also make my dysautonomia worse, spiking my SNS and having the exact opposite effect. I've been working my ass off at getting my dysautonomia under better control with exercise and hydration. So overall my system is stronger than the last time this med got recommended to me, and I feel like at least physically my body is in a better place to handle a challenge right now. But it's still just such a mindfuck that in order to potentially improve my quality of life, I have to gamble with meds that have an equal chance of tanking it and undoing all of my progress. Something's got to give though. My poor anxious kitty is ripping her fur out again because she's picking up on how stressed I am. And I just can't handle that, it breaks my heart and makes me feel even worse that I'm making her miserable too. A good night's sleep would be a welcome start in making it up to her.
