And yet President Trump and Secretary Kennedy have fired the scientists and inspectors who keep our food safe.
It puts us all at risk.
For decades, Head Start has helped give kids an early education, setting them on the path to success.
For many working parents, it was the only way they could afford child care.
It's cruel that President Trump and Secretary Kennedy are cutting funding for it.
Too many rural hospitals are closing every year, leaving patients with fewer options to get health care.
Yet Republicans are trying to gut Medicaid, which rural hospitals rely on. If they pass this bill, they will be directly responsible for more rural hospitals closing.
Firing federal health workers and making massive cuts to research while also trying to take health care away from millions of people is so cruel.
The National Institutes of Health is the best health research body in the world.
Their research contributed to almost every single prescription drug approved between 2010 and 2019.
Cutting this research will mean lives that could have been saved will be lost.
From addiction services and cancer research to Meals on Wheels and pandemic prevention, President Trump and Secretary Kennedy have decimated public health in America.
