Edinburgh Napier The Business School’s Post

A heartfelt thank you to our partners at #Heriot-Watt who hosted The Ethical Finance and Sustainability (EFS) 2025 conference, this month. This collaboration across institutions not only strengthened the academic content but also showcased our commitment at #EdinburghNapier to partnership, knowledge exchange, and sector-wide leadership. This year’s event brought together outstanding scholars, industry leaders, and passionate change-makers from across the globe to share insights on #sustainablefinance, #ESG, #fintech, and more. The discussions were inspiring, the presentations thought-provoking, and the energy in every session was truly remarkable. The event was a flagship example of Napier’s role in fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and driving forward sustainability in finance and business education. Congratulations to Anna Min Du, Ph.D and the rest of the organising team. Special thanks to our keynote speakers - Richard Tol, Editor-in-Chief of Energy Economics and a Nobel Prize Laureate (https://lnkd.in/eG5FcDAB) and John W. Goodell, Editor-in-Chief of Research in International Business and Finance, (https://lnkd.in/eE2eVzcC) – and the session chairs, sponsors, attendees, and organising team. Special thanks also to Steve McLaughlin, Vice-Principal and Provost, Heriot-Watt University, for the opening support, and to co-chairs Zied Ftiti and Patrycja Klusak, and all who helped shape this event. Amongst those attending was Professor Geoffrey Wood (pictured). He is Professor and DanCap Private Equity Endowed Chair, and Department Chair DAN Management at Western University in Canada. Previously; served as Dean and Professor of International Business, at Essex Business School; and before then was Professor of International Business at Warwick Business School, UK. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences, and a Fellow of the British Academy of Management. Geoffrey Wood is Editor in Chief of Human Resource Management Journal (ABS 4). He also edits the Chartered ABS Journal Guide ranking list. Let’s continue to build a more ethical, sustainable, and inclusive future in finance together. #EFS2025 #SustainableFinance #EthicalFinance #Fintech #AcademicConference #Collaboration #ResearchImpact Grigoria Chlomou Maxwell Chipulu Alaa Soliman BSc,MSc, PhD, SFHEA Ashraful Alam Dimitris Andriosopoulos Yassine Bakkar Moshfique Uddin RABEH KHALFAOUI Yang WANG Gbenga Adamolekun, PhD Sami Ben Jabeur Ioannis Vlassas Hassen Raïs
