- In sessionNo reservation requiredExhibitionCreating a "safe and inspiring" ultra-smart future society through aerial displays and visual productionChikumoto laboratoty of the Institute of Laser Science, Osaka University, has been researching new application systems using lasers, especially visible light semiconductor lasers, since the predecessor Yamamoto Laboratory. One of them is the display using a laser beam. We proposed an aerial viewing system that combines this technology with drone technology. This proposal was adopted for the Yumeshima demonstration experiment for the purpose of fostering momentum and innovation for the holding of the Osaka-Kansai Expo, and in 2022, the world's first large-scale aerial display using drones was realized in Yumeshima, the site of the Expo. The efforts of this Yumeshima demonstration experiment were covered by the media and contributed greatly to the PR of the EXPO2025 event. In addition, displaying the necessary information at the desired position in the air can contribute not only to advertisements and events, but also to solving social issues in a wide range of fields, such as disaster prevention such as evacuation guidance in the event of a disaster, crime prevention, and distress rescue. In particular, disaster prevention and crime prevention applications have attracted a lot of attention in the media under the slogan "Protecting 'life' with drones and lasers." In addition, the application of aerial displays to entertainment and advertising will create new emotions that have never been seen before, and we would like to further evolve this technology and contribute to the realization of a "future society where life shines" and the super-smart society of Society 5.0. To that end, we would like to further develop this technology to realize practical application and link it to true social contribution.Future Life ZoneOpen Time18/05/2025 10:00~21:00

This open, scenic waterfront sauna offers an immersive experience that embodies the theme of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai: "Designing Future Society for Our Lives. Petal-shaped air membrane cushions come together to form a single bud, creating a beautifully dynamic structure that stretches toward the sun, brimming with vitality. The energy of the sun, immersed in the air of the sea, plants, and wind, pours down onto the "TAIYO NO TSUBOMI (Sun Bud)." The delicate yet powerful membrane creates an environment filled with natural energy, harmonizing our minds and bodies and guiding us back to the core of our humanity. The space, enveloped by an ETFE film* membrane that allows natural light to filter through, glows gracefully with LED lighting, harmonizing with the ever-changing nature of Osaka Bay across the seasons and time. The sauna offers a completely new 'co-creation' space, embodying a future society that values “warmth and harmony.” *ETFE film: A high-performance fluoropolymer material that has been processed into a film. It is increasingly recognized for its potential to replace glass, offering new possibilities for architectural design. ※An event-style sauna experience guided by instructions from the staff. ※Please make sure to arrive on time. ※The event date may be subject to change on short notice due to maintenance work on the sauna room. ※The event details are subject to change without prior notice.
