This mod page was obviously created under influence of methamphetamines
1. Tinnaib's original CLR mod is fully compatible with Next-Gen (LootPopup.ws file not changed in Next-Gen) 2. First upload on this page is exact copy of original mod PLUS TWO ABSOLUTELY USELESS FILES 3. Second upload on this page is EXACTLY THE SAME AS FIRST
Oh really? I was thinking of looking into the code because I received a request to make my mod compatible with convenient looting, but should I just ignore this mod and refer to Tinnaib's mod instead?
It seems that CursedWitcher included two files (actorRemains.ws and container.ws) from the Complete Animations Redux Compatibility patch created by Tinnaib in the mod, but did not patch LootPopup.ws, so it is not compatible with CAR after all.
And LootPopup.ws and actorRemains.ws are exact copies of Tinnaib's mod.
As for container.ws, it has been updated for Next-Gen, so CursedWitcher did its job in that respect. However, if you use Tinnaib's old container.ws, you can probably restore the area looting function of herbs, so it's up to the user's preference which one to use. (I haven't tried it myself, and it might make merging with CAR difficult.)
So basically, I think it's better to use Tinnaib's mod for Next-Gen as well, and replace the container.ws in the CAR patch with the one from CursedWitcher depending on your preference.
CursedWitcher should have released this mod as an update to the CAR patch.
From what I can see from the code, the comments in container.ws and actorRemains.ws are for commenting out the CAR code, so they should be useful when merging with CAR. (I haven't checked the original CAR code though...)
However, as you say, in its current state it's half-baked as both Next-Gen support and CAR support, and is pretty much useless.
He probably doesn't have much knowledge about mods and is misunderstanding something.
Thank you for the mod. Works very well and I like that it has configuration options in the game menu. I've installed it via Witcher Mod Manager and it added line in the txt file as well. I would suggest to make this as an instruction to install it as well on the Description page (I was lost trying to figure out which file goes where and I realized that WMM does it all automatically) .
Not sure if this is the correct way to get it to work with Complete Animations. But when merging I chose the code from this mod as its functionality is more important. That then causes the loot animation to become stuck. But they can be turned off in the CA mod menu. After that this seems to work.
To be honest I kinda got tired of the loot animations after a few dozen hours. But the eating, drinking, oiling, etc. are still worth it.
You can check Next-Gen Patch Changelog 1.32 vs 4.04 any changed script and verify if none of those updated script are affected by the mod.Next-Gen Patch Changelog 1.32 vs 4.04
Hi ! The mod is working great except for herbs. I have the menu in the options, I can loot multiple containers and dead bodies but it does nothing for herbs, it does not popup a container anyway, is there something I can do ? I believe it's because of a game update ?
Thanks for the mod! It worked well for many days now with no issues.
Edit: I figured out what caused it at least once I played around with the settings. Apparently, the default setting "enable stealing" being off causes the containers in that location to have to be looted one by one. There's no indication that the items are owned and that I'm stealing them so I'm confused.
However, after completing the Payback quest and running up to check the loot containers near Ciri the mod just doesn't work on any of the containers near her. This isn't your fault but I installed another mod around this time and was worried that that mod broke this mod permanently so after spending a couple hours reinstalling mods and getting everything back in order I finally tried fast traveling to another location. I found that the mod worked normally but when I fast traveled back the same containers still needed to be looted one by one. I then tried the non-next gen convenient looting mod, by SkylineR390, and the containers were finally lootable in one window!! The location is where I'm standing in the image -- It's just below Novigrad. I'm running game version 4.04a. Images: Picture 1 Picture 2 - These are the containers I tried before blowing 2 hours. I haven't tested the surrounding area.
I also want to add that when I reinstalled I did try only this mod first so yes all other mods were disabled and there were obviously no script conflicts or merges.
anyone else use this with next gen complete animations? I get stuck in the animation when looting but jump gets him out. going to try load order and merging the two mods.
i don't think this works, i installed it according to instructions and used the script merger but i still only loot one container at a time and i can't find any kind of options anywhere

no work has been done on this mod page
not NGE port, not CAR support

3) Copy modConvenientLootingNextGen.xml; and paste the highlighted part in dx11filelist.txt AND dx12filelist.txt , then save
I, like a fool, did not. :D
