Update on PLA Joint Combat Readiness Patrols around Taiwan based on 's data:
Three observations show this month's patrols exceed past scales.
(1) April 30th marks the 5th joint readiness patrol this month. Since 2024, the maximum number of patrols in a single month was 5.
(2) The total number of detected military aircraft sorties during joint readiness patrols in April this year is higher than in any other month since 2024. Compared to May and October 2024, which also had large-scale military operations, April 2025 saw 232 sorties, more than the 194 sorties in May 2024 and 229 sorties in October 2024.
(3) The interval between the April 30th patrol and the previous one was only 3 days. This situation occurred only 4 times in 2024, while it has already happened 4 times in the first 4 months of 2025.
