So the election is tomorrow.

I'm about 91% certain Obama will win (those are Nate Silver at 538's odds) but I wanted to do a post the night before. I want to just say something.

This has been the worst, most disgusting, horrible, dirtiest election I have ever witnessed. I have been equally repelled during the moments when I thought Obama was sure to win and the times I was worried. Mitt Romney is the absolute WORST general election candidate I have ever seen in my lifetime and possibly ever (he's definitely the worst since these things started getting televised). He makes Dukakis or Mondale look like the second coming of either Reagan or FDR.

Now, I KNOW George W. Bush was the worst President ever so if Romney wins it will take a LOT to top that distinction. But say what you will about the Dub, despite the fact that he was a terrible president, he was not a terrible CANDIDATE. He was able to fool a good amount of people for a very long time. He was about a hundred times the candidate Romney is.

I can't decide what sickens me most: Willard's mendacious lies that he keeps repeating despite thorough debunking from fact-checkers, but with little to NO pushback from the traditional media. Or said Trad Med propping up his candidacy LONG past the time someone this awful should have been viable ("It's a tie!" is this year's "This is great news for John McCain!".) Or that Citizens United makes every single ad on television a political attack ad, usually filled with lies (thank you, Supreme Court). Or the election fraud and voter suppression going on in Ohio and Florida respectively. This is NOT something that should be happening in the country that is supposedly the cornerstone of democracy. Or perhaps the fact that in two short years we'll have to go through this process AGAIN. I'm not joking: the media kicked off the campaign the day after the 2010 midterms. We are looking at a VERY brief respite until November 2014.

I'm from Massachusetts. I just want to tell the nation and the world how sorry we are for inflicting this worthless piece of human garbage upon the national stage. It's an embarrassment and a shame we will never live down. There's a reason he's not contesting Massachusetts. We all know him and hate him here and we've all suffered under him in a position of power. The only consistant thing about Willard Romney is that the more people get to know him, the more they dislike him. I despise this smarmy little crap weasel and the feeling I get when he is crushed tomorrow better be worth the two years of misery he's inflicted upon the country.

Romneys comment that Obama is devisive

is so off putting after getting no help from the GOP is one that makes my head explode. I dislike this guy with a passion. The lies, insults, pettiness and more lies.....sickening.

Don't forget...

... that Paul Ryan is a fake-religious hateful ass-clown, and I hope he loses twice tomorrow.

In four years, Allen West will be the Republican nominee, and the media will tell us "it's a toss-up!" until every last advertising dollar has been collected.

Shockwave, the image above you've

posted... of the incident -- no, the assault -- on John Lauber at Cranbrook...

Were there no other reason to reject Mitt Romney, I think that one would do as a hundred reasons.

People do change.  But sometimes they don't.  It's my suspicion that Romney has not changed, that he is still the very same person who wielded those scissors against Lauber and still the same person who traumatized his own dog on that family vacation.

Where did you get this image?

I think you (or someone else) posted it in an earlier diary, and I saved it because I agree with remediator that it says everything that needs to be said about Romney's fitness for the office.

I do not, nor does anyone else,

hold you responsible for his election in MA.  He bought it himself as a trial run for this gig.  But everyone who counts sees through him now.

The best word that I can think of to describe him is narcissist.

Take a deep breath

and try to calm your emotions.  My view of Romney shares much with yours. And I still find your title to kind of disturbing. Some things that some people do are certainly worthy of generating anger and strong emotions, but everyone is safer and we advocate more effectively when we stay cool.

You make good points in your diary, but the anger degrades it, I think. The points you make verbally are strong and can easily stand on their own without the aggression.

This man exploited the deaths of diplomats

as the tragedy was unfolding.

Nope. He gets no grace. None. Zip.

His disrespect for those families means gets no pass.

By the way, his sneering disrespect for the President in Debate Two, right before the President said "Please proceed Governor," is unbecoming of a citizen talking to the President of the United States.

To hell with Mitt Romney's contemptible "nobody's ever asked me for my birth certificate" ass.

Did you hear Harvey Weinstein or Weintraub tonight

on Peirs Morgan offer his opinion on John McCain. McCain was on right before him, and then they showed the unedited clip for the Weinstein film, on last night on N.G. network. In that clip it shows canddidate Obama saying he would go into Pakistan to get Bin Laden, you know the whole if we had actionable intelligence thing. It also showed McCain's response, saying how Obama was wrong and naive. Weinstien said, you saw that, and in nicer words, he told Morgan how McCain is full of shit.
Morgan also called it a propaganda piece, and Weinstien said, when is the truth propaganda?  I loved it, he also had some choice words for Romney.

I haven't watched CNN in years but

I saw something last night on CNN while channel surfing that shocked me. They are up there with Fox News now. So tonight I thought I would check in to see what they were peddling and stumbled on John McCain being interviewed. It was so repulsive I turned it off right after so I missed Harvey. Oh well. Back to Moyers and a couple of MSNBC shows. TV CelebNews is a cesspool wasteland.

They have been Fox-like in their election

coverage, I have noticed that too. And Morgan seems to almost be endorsing Romney. So I was happy to hear Harvey put him and CNN in their place.
Don't know if you saw Morning Joe today, they had Guilani on, and the only one to even midly go back at him was Mikka, and you know how weak she is. I wish they would have had the Rev. Al or Rachel on that segment, either one would have destroyed Guilani and his back patting, and saying the response to Sandy was worse than the response to Katrina.  I think I just would have said one thing, "Governor Christie is not known for keeping quiet, nor is Mayor Bloomberg or Governor Coumo, why is it that we don't hear any complaints from them, but just from you, as a Romney surrogate? Let the shit walk off the set who cares, how much better our lives would be, not ever having to hear from this jerk ever again..

George W Bush was a terrible candidate though

It's just because the corporate media got a sudden urge to pretend that an incompetent draft-dodging silver-spoon prep school brat pretending to be a cowboy was "a guy you want to have a beer with" that we were inflicted with that sorry ass war criminal for eight long miserable years.

Truth is the only way you want to be around George W Bush is if you're so goddamn drunk you don't notice that he doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of coming up with a complete sentence in the English language, let alone an intelligent thought. The man is a zero, America's Ahmadinejad with less facial hair.

And then America was so fucking stupid they elected him again.

mittney is a worse candidate and would be a

worse president than hoover, reagan, nixon and dubya all rolled into one.

he is utterly clueless about what government does and is there for.

he is not a brilliant business man and does not understand economics.

he has no grasp of foreign affairs.

and once he had acutally attained the office, he would almost immediately begin to lose interest in having it.

he's a souless asshole with an iq  number somewhere in the region of ambient room temperature.

MattZ, it's no wonder you are

repulsed by the election, especially Mitt Romney's part in it, but his being from Massachusetts and your being from Massachusetts, aren't related, IMO.

They're so very different it's astonishing.

Romney doesn't represent the behavior and values you likely represent, and he says and does things you would never say or do.

Take all the people voting for president tomorrow in Massachusetts.  I bet Obama wins big, very big, and those people are voting for your values and behavior and not Mitt Romney's.

Not your fault Romney's the GOP nominee.  Not Massachusetts' fault either.

It's Romney's fault.  I'm putting the blame where it goes.

A tip of the hat to you folks in the Bay State who know what real citizenship really is.

Romney's a sociopath

Not a serial killer, a high functioning sociopath.  This isn't just name-calling or humor, I am serious, and the country will be in very serious trouble if he's elected.  He will make Bush look like George Washington.

Why do I say this?  Because he exhibits all the tendencies of a sociopath:

1. Constant lying

2.  Manipulative

3.  Inability to empathize with or relate to others

4.  Sadistic, cruel (dog on roof, hair cutting, beating his sons up when they tease him)

5.  His entire business career was premised on buying companies, sucking out all their assets, and putting them out of business, without any regard for their employees.

6.  Narcissistic -- believes he should be President just because, without any program or principles or fundamental beliefs (except that rich people should be even richer)

Am I wrong?
