My name is Thomas Mix and I am running for Congress in Florida’s 8th District. That includes all of Brevard County, all of Indian River County, and part of east Orange County. This is a district full of engineers, educators, veterans, working families, and the best minds in the country. They deserve a representative who gives a damn about more than just a title and a party.
People are drowning. Rent is out of control. Groceries keep rising. Property taxes eat into paychecks that are already stretched thin. The cost of everything goes up except your wages. And what does Mike Haridopolos do? He posts empty statements, kisses the ring, and avoids real accountability. He sits on committees tied to NASA while saying nothing when funding is threatened. That is not leadership. That is cowardice.
This district is the home of NASA. The Space Coast is not a slogan. It is the launching pad for the future of this country. NASA is not just a government agency. It is a global symbol of human achievement. And yet it is treated like a prop by politicians who do nothing when it matters. NASA deserves full funding, full support, and a full-time fighter in Congress who will never let this district be overlooked again.
MAGA had its chance, and it failed miserably. It ran the economy into the ground, stripped away rights, attacked science, and tried to turn Americans against each other for profit. The people running this movement are not patriots. They are predators. They sell you rage while cashing checks from donors. They manufacture outrage while ignoring the fact that you cannot afford eggs or insulin. Enough.
I want the most intelligent people around me. I want scientists, teachers, union leaders, veterans, and engineers at the table. I want people who solve problems and push boundaries, not people who play party games and punch down. I want the truth, not the theater.
I support NASA. I support STEM. I support workers. I support the people who actually make this country function. I am blunt. I am foul-mouthed. And I do not put up with bullshit. If that bothers you, ask yourself why you are not more bothered by the corruption, the cruelty, and the incompetence that has taken over this state.
This is a Democratic Republic. We will not cower. We will not bow. We will not bend the knee to fascism. Not now. Not ever.
