Like that literally doesn't explain why he's using a jetpack, which he obviously doesn't need for reasons that do not require explaining. But people were legit defending that scene by saying "NOOOO HE NEEDS THE JETPACK CUZ HE NOT AS FAST!!!" but in the scene where he's using it he isn't even trying to actually win, and at the end of the movie when it's a real race he isn't using it.
