One of the fallacies in 
Xi Jinping’s article published in 
Rossiyskaya Gazeta (Russian Gazette) on May 7:
“… A series of instruments with legal effect under international law, including the Cairo Declaration and the Potsdam Proclamation, have all affirmed China’s sovereignty over Taiwan…”
Note that the People’s Republic of China (founded in 1949) didn’t even exist when the Cairo Declaration (1943) and Potsdam Proclamation (1945) were made.
