Huang Weizhan (黄伟沾) and Huang Yongchao (黄永超) — two of the four men arrested during a raid on an illegal marijuana farm in Carmel, Maine, in June 2023 and subsequently charged with running an illegal marijuana farm (wabi.tv/2023/06/30/upd) — are members of Si Jiu Association of NY (美东台山四九同乡会), a hometown association founded by immigrants from the town of Sijiu (四九), Taishan, Guangdong. Huang Weizhan was Executive Chairman of the association in 2024. The association has close links to 
Consulate General in New York and municipal governments and CCP united front groups.
Both Huang’s pleaded not guilty to the charges. Huang Weizhan even made a trip to his hometown Sijiu in April last year!
