Supporters start streaming into assembly centres
The gates to Bukit Gombak Stadium have opened to PAP supporters. Some of them gathered there even before the polls closed.
First-time voter Ms Sha, 26, entered the stadium at 8pm sharp as she was excited to experience the buzz before the announcement of results.
“I made my vote based on long-term policies proposed by the party, not just five-year plans,” said the civil servant.
Over at Serangoon Stadium, WP supporters have also arrived to wait for results.

A family affair
Mr Tirmidzi Zainul Abidin, 35, carried his four-month-old daughter to cast his vote at Block 208 Woodleigh Link today. His wife Nur Hazirah Mohamad Noh, 34, was also seen voting in the background, with a toddler by her side.
He said: “The process was easy, smooth and very convenient. We are quite grateful because it is near our home at the multi-purpose hall under our block and not the CC (community club), so it’s quite convenient.”
