Employer Liaison Manager - University of Auckland Business School

The The University of Auckland Business School Women's Business Golf Mentoring programme has been one of the most enjoyable and inspiring programmes I have been a part of in my role to date. For the last 3 weeks, a group of 12 students were paired with various business mentors across industries at the beautiful Remuera Golf Club to play golf and talk business success. The students got so much out of the experience, the weather was amazing for all three weekends (Incredible really!) and we made some great connections along the way. None of it would of been possible without Claire Beuvink and Golf New Zealand as well as funding from Sport Auckland. And of course my colleagues Peta Mobberley and Tamsin Kingston that had to endure my excitable enthusiasm over being able to play golf for work! Of course a special thank you to all our mentors Angela Quirk, Vincent Vuillard, Stuart Reed 🏃🏻♂️, John Miles, Andrew Patterson, Ray Connor, Claire Henry, Rachel McBride, Andrew Z., Shavil Prasad, CA, Jessica Huynh, Kiri Barfoot and our awesome coach Mitch!! If you're interested in being a part of this programme keep your eyes peeled!

It's always such a pleasure to partner on this programme Lizzie, Peta and Tamsin. Mentors, the programme isn't the programme without you so thank you for giving up your time to connect with our up-and-coming business leaders (and golfers 😎)

Such a great initiative to be a part of - thanks for the invite!. I was paired with a wonderful group of students who were equally excited about life after university and unsure about how to stand out in the current climate. We discussed a wide range of topics, including the importance of making personal connections when new to the job market (and using the phone), presenting yourself with enthusiasm, and the value of asking for help. It was inspiring to work with such a passionate group!
