Forfeit of Aurora Gaming vs. PARIVISION[edit]

During the Upper Bracket match between PARIVISION and Aurora Gaming, Aurora Gaming's Nightfall encountered a bug on Doom. Nightfall had taken the Devil's Bargain Facet, allowing him to refund sold items at a higher price, but his buyback cost was increased. According to the description, this was supposed to be increased by 20%. At a crucial point within the match, Nightfall died, with his net worth at 37046. This should have given him a buyback cost of (200 + 37046 ÷ 13) × 1.2 = 3658 — which was displayed on his HUD. However, he was unable to click the button to buy back. In reality, Devil's Bargain had been applied twice: 44% (20% on top of 20%), giving him an actual buyback cost of 4391, which he did not have (having had 4221 gold at that point).

The game was paused, with Aurora Gaming at a severe deficit (37k net worth behind). After much deliberation by PGL, they decided to resume the game, but PARIVISION would not attack Aurora Gaming nor push for 95 seconds, allowing Doom to respawn, upon which the game would resume. However, shortly after this decision, Aurora Gaming decided to forfeit the match, disagreeing with the decision.^[8]

On the English panel, TeaGuvnor revealed he had done some research, and found that the bug had been in place for some time. In prior matches, such as MieRo in Team Tidebound vs. BetBoom Team, buybacks by Doom indeed deducted more gold than the HUD suggested, but up until this point, they had been lucky enough to have sufficient gold.^[9]

With the forfeit, Aurora Gaming dropped to the Lower Bracket, where they would face Tundra Esports. PARIVISION, on the other hand, advanced to the Upper Bracket Final, to face Team Liquid.
