A cute 50-page Sherlock Holmes "fan-fiction" of sorts, sold to me by the author himself in a Saturday crafts market in Gibraltar, in the Church of Scotland. I enjoyed it! Consists of two short stories. One loosely related to Gibraltar but based on the super interesting legend of Mary Celeste which I had never heard of before. The other one based in The Convent in Gibraltar and exploring the ever-relevant topic of the Spain vs England argument over the Rock. I found funny the ending of the second one where the author - obviously Gibraltarian - says that "...the people of Gibraltar are above all loyal subjects f the British Crown..." :)

Short but entertaining stories by Sherlock Holmes, the first one "The Abandoned Brigantine Sherlock Holmes reveals the solution to the mystery of the Mary Celeste, was a bit far fetched, the second " The Gibraltar Letter" the detective solves the case of the abduction of the Duke of Connaught while he was posted to Gibraltar was in my opinion the best and very plausibly taken from the history books. A very enjoyable read from local historian Sam Benady.

Minor, but entertaining addition to the Sherlock Holmes canon.
