China Research Institute for Radio Wave Propagation (CRIRP) is carrying out dual-use research. CRIRP, which is actually the 22nd Institute of China's biggest military electronics conglomerate China Electronics and Technology Group Corporation (CETC), has collaborated with 13 units of the PLA on classified military research.
The satellites of at least nine entities, including defense contractor Shenzhen Aerospace Dongfanghong, are being served by SvalSat ground station on Svalbard.
