Macgill, Dean of the University of Connecticut School of Law, made the following statement regarding Mr. Archibald: “Thomas L. Archibald, who retired in 1971 as a Professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Connecticut School of Law, loved the law and loved teaching it. Even now, more than 25 years after his retirement, many of our graduates still ask me about him and remember him warmly. Tom was one of a small band of dedicated teachers and scholars who, after the Second World War, were responsible for the extraordinary growth of the University of Connecticut School of Law, and we will always be grateful.” A funeral service will be at Hartford’s South Congregational Church, 277 Main Street, (corner of Main and Buckingham Streets) in the Archibald Chapel, on Monday, May 5, 11 a.m. There will be no calling hours.
