I have seen pictures of the game and heard what some of the hold up is. I’m excited for it and I say, take all the time you need. Crowded new release market right now, so do what you need to make an absolute banger of a game. I would gladly take a longer wait if it means higher quality control and more complete code.

They need something additional to boost consumer confidence as well. Releasing any pin regardless of theme is now an uphill marketing battle for API. Show the people API is invested in the future of the company/customer and not going under.

My son really wants a Hot Wheels since he played it at expo. Anyone know the main issues with those?

besides the cars just being velcro'd on.. not much. It's a good challenging game.

I've had the computer crash a few times. Thankfully the reboot time isn't too bad, as opposed to Oktoberfest which takes a while to boot up.

Replace the balls ASAP since they get magnetized quickly and will cause ball trough issues.

Other than that I've just had to do some tweaking here and there, but that's with every pinball machine.

Sadly, what AP doesn't seem to be working diligently on is quality control and customer service for those who purchased previous games. Many of the AP games I played at the Chicago Expo and elsewhere had issues. And there are tons of comments on Pinside about unfinished coding and poor customer service. Can you clue us in on what - if anything - AP is doing to address that?

To be fair, Ferret's been soliciting bug reports from anyone who has an issue and pledging to fix them. He's been the most responsive person from AP here, I think.

If you have a list of bugs, PM him and I'm sure he'll make a best effort to get them fixed.

Any idea when Galactic tank force new code is coming. There's a whole lot of bugs in that game. Let me know if anybody has any idea?

Try PM'ing Ferret your list of bugs. He has pledged to fix the bugs he's sent, so be proactive and maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised.

The price has come way down even on NIB LE GTF . If I ever get a shot at the deluxe for 6k or under I’ll definitely own one . Great game !

Quoted from PinMonk:

Golden State Pinball Festival is the largest pinball show in the west with close to 400 pins, and it's a month from now in Lodi, CA. Seems like a great place to debut a new pin and have the PR all to themselves since basically everything else is announced already.

I second this, Golden State is a great show, and any reveal here would leave a strong mark!!

Glad to hear the game is still coming along. Shortly after my post someone big in the industry told me it’s moving along and might even be ready next month. Looking forward to it!

Deluxe for 6k or under would be a hard find, but a really good deal. You can still get a NIB Signature right now for under 9k.

Re: anything code... all I can say is that we're keeping at it. I wish things could get done faster.

Re: customer service... American is fortunate to have the support of the renowned Lloyd Olson (LTG) and has also hired 2 new people, Nate and Amanda Steen, for the Customer Service team in the past couple months.

[this seems as good a time as any for my periodic reminder that I do NOT officially speak for American Pinball]

Sounds like ideal timing to unveil it at Golden State!

I haven’t had any issues with the industrial Velcro. Cars are rock solid. My computer works just fine. Balls got magnetized once. I love HW and highly recommended it. Shots seem tight at times but all are makable.

What do you need industrial Velcro for?

Hold the Hot Wheel cars on, if they aren't screwed on.

Mine are screwed on, so I guess that's nice.

I had no idea Ferret was still with American pinball, I mean I guess there is hope.

I drilled mine and put a screw in them, no longer an issue.

Some code updates would be a great start on all the existing games.
That's a confidence booster!

He's a independent contractor aka hired gun programmer and designer... meaning he contributes whenever he's on contract to do so
