Eastern Middle School in Silver Spring celebrated the completion last week of a large brightly colored mural on the school's facade as a tribute to the strength of family and to the school's multicultural character.

The dedication ceremony was followed by a celebration of family empowerment and Hispanic heritage, featuring motivational speakers and foods from different countries.
