"Jurassic Park' is too scary for young kids

Kids will make more noise than dinosaurs if parents don't take them to see Steven Spielberg's thriller Jurassic Park when it opens on Friday.

Parents, be forewarned. Spielberg's film about genetically engineered dinosaurs running amok is a masterly fantasy, but its intense scenes of violence _ especially involving two young children _ will be nightmare material for some younger viewers.

Most frightening is an attack by a tyrannosaurus rex on a Jeep, where child actors Joseph Mazzello and Ariana Richards cower in terror.
