My personal opinion was that WWE ran a social media campaign. WWE was looking for a place to park NXT since NBC/USA didn't have enough money to beat Fox in bidding for Smack and keep NXT. The CW deal with NWA was close to being inked by all accounts, and all of a sudden there was this huge uproar all over the IWC regarding a promotion that most of them didn't even care about. The whole thing felt really forced, and when the NXT/CW deal was announced it completely died down.
The older I get the more fake and gay the internet becomes, and the less I trust anything I read.

Legally there's not much to it. Some of them are really good, but what I'm reading and hearing is that Def Rebels basically fleecing the company by doing the laziest patch remix crap and I think that's more harmful for the wrestlers and the company than actually using short cuts in the music. Corgan needs to abandon any hope of getting on network TV. WWE has ALWAYS been able to sabotage the TV deals of their competitors. They've done it too many times to list. The NWA is one of the few promotions that has the potential to threaten WWE, and so they are never going to do well on TV. Would be smarter to concentrate on online viewership like they were doing when powerrr was on YT.
