Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre announced a plan to push cities to cut development charges on new home construction in Canada.

Poilievre said his government would aim to get municipalities to make cuts worth up to C$50,000 ($35,563) for new homes, with half of the lost revenue reimbursed by the federal government.
