I have a feeling this game is going to be one hell of a ride.
Quoted from Oneangrymo:I have a feeling this game is going to be one hell of a ride.
JJP really needs it but like most JJP games, I wonder if it will play as good as it looks.
Fingers Crossed
I ain't reserving shit. If they can make over 5k of one of the worst games of all time I'm not worried about finding one. As for the model, give me the one missing as much JJP bling as possible. I'm hoping for a more warm candle light or warm ficker kinda like JP. Definitely not hot rails shoot everything and please for the love of God loose the slot machine!
Quoted from VisitorQ:JJP really needs it but like most JJP games, I wonder if it will play as good as it looks.

Agreed. No doubt it will be the best looking JJP yet with hundreds or thousands of addressable LEDs. Flow and code is not their strong point though. Will see!

Code is the most important part of a pinball machine for me and yeah, not their strong suit IMO.
Quoted from SantaEatsCheese:And Hufflepuff sells for more than Ravenclaw on the secondary market. This would be a total PITA for distributors... No! I wanted a Slitherin!
Art work can be a deciding factor. Take my GnR. I choose the LE over the CE since i liked the Poster artstyle more and found it more fitting to the theme than the CE's Appetite inspired art. Still do and i don't miss the Coma lock at all since its in the LE as a virtual lock as well. Saved me some money also. (however i got to pay CE price thanks to that stupid tariff it got hit wit when it was finally delivered) Still love the game.

Does google know something?
The image is an advertisement for the Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery pinball machine by Jersey Jack Pinball. Here's some information about the game:
It's a role-playing game (RPG) set in the Harry Potter universe, specifically in the 1980s, before Harry Potter's time at Hogwarts.
Players create their own characters and experience life as Hogwarts students, attending classes, learning spells, and building friendships.
The game features a "choose your own adventure" style of gameplay, where player choices impact the narrative.
It's developed by Jam City under the Portkey Games label from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.
The pinball machine is a physical adaptation of the mobile game, allowing players to engage with the Harry Potter world in a new way.
The game includes voice acting from actors who appeared in the Harry Potter films.
It's designed to immerse players in the magical world with interactive elements and engaging gameplay.

Seems vague...
Asking for and accepting non-refundable deposits before showing anything at all, seems so unnecessary. Excited for this game, tired of non-refundable deposits based on hype alone. Ok, that’s it. Can’t wait to see a teaser vid.

I agree...
No Price
No Pictures
No limits
= No sense in preordering...

They will keep making this game for a long time, so no need to place a non-refundable deposit until you get a chance to see it and shoot it.
Why should anyone pay a deposit on a not seen game which is as per rumours not limited at all, just to be first in line?
Quoted from thechakapakuni2:Nothing gets a Collector to drop $15-$20K on a pin faster than hearing it has an “unlimited” run [quoted image]
Anyone who views pinball as an investment is setting themselves up for failure. It's a game. Only a precious few end up being worth the same or more than their original purchase price.

lol
Holy Moly... hahahaha
This is going to be the funniest release yet!
Quoted from Wariodolby:Does google know something?
Google's AI search results are near criminally bad. I wouldn't trust any of that.
Wait is this the official site? It looks horrible
I’m confused. Is this just Flip’N’Out or is it JJP sponsored by Flip’N’Our?
Quoted from Seraph:Google's AI search results are near criminally bad. I wouldn't trust any of that.
Agree
If you want the real inside scoop you're going to need that inside paywall information from a Podcaster. LOL!
Quoted from ZMeny:Harrypotterpinball.com
Not preordering this game but checked out the site.
When you scroll down to the "form" the overlay image obscures the fields you need to fill out. Might want to change that.
Jesus Christ these guys just keep saying nothing other than look at me, he guy's don't forget about me.
The worst part of this is now Stern is going to think they can raise prices too. That's what started all this ridiculousness
Can we just see ANYTHING of the freaking game? This is the most blind pre-order I can even think of.
Quoted from CincyPinballer:Can we just see ANYTHING of the freaking game? This is the most blind pre-order I can even think of.
Yeah. We can see how stupid ppl are. Or atleast Zach can. Then relate it back to JJP.
Quoted from CincyPinballer:Can we just see ANYTHING of the freaking game? This is the most blind pre-order I can even think of.
We may have to call in the hat to sort out this mess. lol
Quoted from CincyPinballer:The website is horrendously bad. What on earth.
I think Zach at Flip n Out just (smartly) snagged the url to redirect anyone typing that in to his business.
It's not an "official" or high effort endeavor.
boomers confused how the internet works up in arms over the confusion, but I am sure someone is going to type that url trying to get info on HP pinball and the 20 bucks or whatever will be worth it!
But yeah not putting any money down until I see the game. "Give me your money before you see it" is so weak and desperate. They know they aren't launching until after BOF and Stern and they're worried to loose sales.
This is a new low for the hobby. They seriously expect us to put down a NON REFUNDABLE deposit on a game we haven't even seen a picture of and NO price? Wow is all I can say.
Quoted from Only_Pinball:This is a new low for the hobby. They seriously expect us to put down a NON REFUNDABLE deposit on a game we haven't even seen a picture of and NO price? Wow is all I can say.
Seriously - I can't even fathom how JJP thinks this is going to go over well or even increase their sales - what are they thinking? Are they truly this desperate?
Quoted from MacGruber:The worst part of this is now Stern is going to think they can raise prices too. That's what started all this ridiculousness
No increase on Kong, the game after that who knows
Quoted from Only_Pinball:This is a new low for the hobby. They seriously expect us to put down a NON REFUNDABLE deposit on a game we haven't even seen a picture of and NO price? Wow is all I can say.
Agreed, just show the game already and let people decide after that if they want to place a non-refundable deposit. Right now they should be just taking names, not deposits.
Quoted from Pinball-Cruiser:No increase on Kong, the game after that who knows
I was told that as well, really hope it holds true especially if the game is on Spike 3!
In for a CE. This is one title where I am not concerned. My family wants it, I want it and it’s one of the best licenses I can imagine.
Quoted from CincyPinballer:Seriously - I can't even fathom how JJP thinks this is going to go over well or even increase their sales - what are they thinking? Are they truly this desperate?
When you spend $4m on the license, you probably need to clear ~4,000 units sold-through +/- to clear margin thresholds. I think JJP knows they're going to sell a lot of Potters but they probably know they need to sell more to really have a financial hit on their hands. They would probably normally ride this out, but there are several big hitters releasing right around them. The likes of Stern's Elwin/Kong will no doubt poach potential NIB buyers. The likes of CGC's MMr Merlin snatched up ~1,000 potential $12k NIB buyers. Barrels of Fun while being newer has already established itself as a real player and is dropping their next on 4/15. That will no doubt absorb potential Potter buyers as well. Evil Deads all sold out now as well.
That a whole lot of potential Potter buyers who spent their $10-12k on something else or are about to. My read is that JJP need this pin to be a hit and are trying to tease as much as physically possible without looking bad. The problem is, desperation is the worst smelling cologne. I would make a point that had Jack not said anything at TPF or said something like to-Jack, "What is your next pin?" Jack, "You'll have to wait and see, very soon." and just stayed quiet and then if the JJP marketing had just zipped it 100%... there would be natural buzz and hype building. People would be talking about Kong, Barrels next and speculating about Potter and building hype. There is still hype mind you, but its sort of flatlined... for now at least. In fact, with limited details about Kong.. one could argue there is even more anticipation around What Elwin's King Kong is going to be.
Now that we know Potter is coming and seeing JJP squirm a bit lately.. just naturally shows everyone that even JJP isn't sure what's coming but do see it as a threat to sales. I think JJP and Potter are going to do great for the record, I hope JJP just crushes this release... for real. I would absolutely love for Potter to just be a better pin all around than Kong and really give JJP a throne for awhile. That will force Stern and others to compete and the tide rises all boats.
In my short time in the hobby I can't recall a time where three manufacturers all had big releases all dropping within a week or two of one another. Barrels of Fun is rumored to be announcing on 4/15 with Stern on 4/18? Cant recall where I saw that but anyways, fun times ahead. I wonder if Stern is going to also be introducing Spike3, larger displays and features with Kong. So Kong has the potential to not just be another Elwin monster game but a generational shift for Stern as well. If there ever was a game to launch Spike3, I'd say its Kong.
If the non-refundable deposit is only for the CE model, I have no problem with that. If it’s true the CE allotment will not be limited, but rather built to order fa limited time, then yeah, it should be a non refundable deposit. All other models not so much.
Quoted from Pinball-Cruiser:No increase on Kong, the game after that who knows
Well no, cuz Kong will be out first. For some reason they follow the stupidity. I guess for them that makes it okay. As soon as jjp went Full *$t-×d with Toy Story Stern followed suit with Bond. Each raising thousands. Now JJP thinks it's okay to go up 2k because hey guys you get a pro model. For 10k! 10/13/17. Absolutely nuts!

Yeah, he is definitely taking advantage of it.
So far I only see interest lists from distributors. No non-refundable deposits are being asked for ... yet.
Quoted from MacGruber:Well no, cuz Kong will be out first.
I would not be 100% sure about that. I heard from a pretty good source that HP is on the line at JJP.
It certainly will be a race to see who reveals what when.
I mean when you think about it, JJP has shown more at this point than Stern has with their next title.
"shrug"

We can only hope they're too far along to change at that point if Potter revealed first. Imagine 8/11/15 thousand for a Stern? GTFOOH
