Clever 4Ever features the same gameplay as Ganz schön clever, Doppelt so clever and Clever hoch drei, but with new categories in which to score. Your goal: Choose dice, then place the numbers into the matching colored area, put together tricky chain-scoring opportunities, and rack up the points. The dice you don't use are as important as what you do because every die that's smaller than the chosen one can be used by the other players, keeping everyone in the game at all times.
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
This is the fourth game in this line. I have only played this one and the 1st (that's pretty clever) as I didn't decide to buy a different copy until all 4 were released. From reviews and forums, it seemed like 2 and 3 were the most complicated and not as good as 1 and 4 so decided to jump on this one. I am so glad I did. Yes, it is a little more complicated than the 1st and the different sections have more rules but if you are familiar with the 1st or a seasoned gamer it is not hard to grasp. I do like this one better than the 1st. The 1st one has less variety and is more simple and has less dice mitigation. This one allows you to really try different strategies as you will not come close to completing every section. The new ability to +/- the die face really helps you mitigate some luck.
I still do like the 1st for it's simplicity but if I want a more strategic game this is the one for sure.
My husband and I LOVE the “That’s Pretty Clever” games! They are the perfect series of strategical dice games that will leave you feeling an urge to play again and again! Highly recommend, but you may want to start with the first in the series, because the game complexity builds in this edition!
The game is good however I was disappointed to find a small golf pencil with a note to share with all players. All in the name of "environment." Give me a break. You pay 25.00 for a pad of paper and they can't even supply the markers for playing the game.
