The World Has Gone Insane

Jenny looked at the jagged smile across her neck. It was still a little red, making it look like The Joker's smile. She didn't look at it like it was the worst part of her life. No. Jenny wasn't like that. She thought it was the best thing that could have happened to her. It proved that she could do anything, and nothing could get in her way. She fought for a month. She only had a little help from someone else. She wore it proudly.

"How are you going to get her back this time?" Jekyll asked leaning in the doorway of her bathroom. Jenny turned and smiled. "Hyde really doesn't think, he does. I bet you anything that he hasn't thought about Haylee's cell phone yet." Jekyll followed Jenny into her bedroom. She pulled out her laptop and got on a phone site. "What are you doing?" Jekyll asked. "All cell phones have GPS. That how cellphone towers know when to give service to cell phones. Even if there was no cellphone tower the GPS would still be working on her cell phone. And Haylee goes no where without her cell phone." Jenny started typing, and soon there was a blip with a map reference. "Got her!" Jekyll looked over her shoulder. "Where is she?" He asked her. "She's in London..." Jenny whispered. Jekyll balled his fist. "Well, it looks like we'll be going to London. You keep telling me that you want to go." He was right. Jenny did want to go to London. It was one of her biggest dreams, but she wished the circumstances were different.

Jenny clicked her seat belt and sat back in her chair. She would have to wait seven hours to start her search and she wasn't sure she could do it. Jekyll grabbed her and and squeezed it reassuringly. "Don't worry. We'll be there before you can say Raxacoricofallapatorious." Jekyll told her. Jenny laughed, she found it weird when she discovered Jekyll was into Doctor Who much like she was, but she found it great. "Raxacoricofallapatorious." Jenny said, and looked out the window. "Nope, we're still in America." Jekyll rolled his eyes. "You always take this so literally." Jenny nodded at him. "Will all passengers please sit and buckle up. We will be departing soon." The pilot said over the com. "Not soon enough." Jenny mumbled preparing herself for one of the longest flights she would ever have.

The city was lit up as they started to land. Jenny tried her hardest not to get excited, but she couldn't help it. She saw the London Eye, and Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, and the Globe Theater. She let a smile split her face in two, but it turned into a frown quickly. That would have to wait. Her first priority was getting Haylee back. The plane landed, and Jenny stood as fast as she could. Jekyll took her arm. "Patience." Jenny had been impatient the entire flight, and now she would have to wait even longer. As the crowd dispersed Jekyll got up and grabbed their carry-ons. Jenny was switching from her left foot to her right and back to her left. Jekyll finally moved allowing Jenny to move. She was doing everything in her power not to run him over.

They climbed into the cab. "I still can't believe you made me go to the hotel before going to get Haylee." Jenny grumbled at Jekyll. "We know where she is. It won't take long to get her back." Jenny folded her arms and sat back, glaring at Jekyll. He was right. Of coarse he was right, but still, Jenny missed Haylee deeply. Before she knew the the cab was stopping. "Thank you." Jekyll said to him and climbed out, followed by Jenny. "This is it? This is were it all started?" Jenny asked Jekyll. Jekyll nodded. 46 Harley Street stood in front of them. Jekyll took a deep breath and turned the knob on the door. They entered. "It's a bit different. The family that owns it must be away." Jekyll said. Jenny started to look for any signs of Haylee. She went into the kitchen, and saw a door. "What does this door lead to?" She asked Jekyll. "The basement." He said. Jenny opened the door, where else would Hyde hide Haylee? She pulled the dagger from her pocket, and quietly started down the stairs. She was about half way down the stairs when she heard a familiar voice singing. Haylee was still alive. She was about to run to her, when an arm came out of no where and pinned her against the wall. "So, you didn't die after all. You are very stubborn, much like Jekyll." Hyde growled into her ear. "Hyde, I don't want to hurt you, but I will if I have to." Jenny had a plan, but she hadn't told anyone. "I can make sure that you die this time." Jenny laughed. "You can try, but I won't." Hyde didn't like the tone in her voice. It made him uneasy. "Why?" He could tell Jenny was smiling, even in the darkness. "The same reason you can't die, Hyde." realization struck. "No." He whispered. Hyde lessened his grip on Jenny. She seized the opportunity to escape his clutches. "Jekyll!" She called. The basement light flipped on, and Jekyll came down the stairs. Jenny ran over to the small ball, she knew was Haylee. "Haylee, it's me. I've come to get you." Jenny said to her. "Jenny? It's really you?" Jenny nodded, "Yes, Haylee it's really me." Haylee hugged her, "I thought you were never going to come." Haylee whispered. "I'm sorry. I was in a coma for a month." Jenny helped Haylee stand, and she looked back at Jekyll and Hyde.

"Now, for you two." Jenny said like a mother scolding children. "You two were best friends." They looked at each other. "You two need to make up. Look and Haylee and I. We have been best friends for a long time, and no matter what happens we will always be. Jekyll you say you stopped being friends with Hyde when he killed the Board of Governors, Hyde you say you stopped being friends with Jekyll when he destroyed the immortal formula." They both nodded. "Well that was over 150 years ago! You both have seen death more than anyone and probably heard enough Jekyll and Hyde jokes to drive you insane, but the reason why Haylee and I are best friends is because we stuck together through all the bad times, and it's time that you two learned to do the same. And we are not leaving this place until you two are friends again." They looked at Jenny, shocked. "I'm serious. We won't leave until you two have made up. Not only are you hurting yourselves but you're hurting Haylee and I. We are your family, aren't we?" Jekyll shrugged, "I'll be your friend again, Edward. I'm willing to put the past behind me." He said to Hyde. "Henry. What are you saying? You wanted to kill me 150 years ago." Jekyll nodded, "And you wanted to kill me. But I think we can learn a lesson from the girls. Become friends again." Hyde looked at Jekyll, then the girls, and back at Jekyll. "Are you really willing to forgive me?" Jekyll nodded. Hyde pulled him into a hug, "Alright, I'll try to be a better person. For you and the girls." They pulled apart and Jekyll smiled. "We have an extra bedroom and bathroom in our loft. You're more than welcome to it."
