History of NZDD
NZDD was conceptualised by founders of Easy Crypto Janine and Alan Grainger, and partners, as a solution to create a more secure and transparent digital future based on the New Zealand Dollar (NZD).
Today, through various partnerships, NZDD is utilised as one of the payment methods here in New Zealand. The reserve of cash that backs the value of each token is secure and accounted for with monthly attestations, enforcing its reliability as a store of value that is also fully compliant with NZ regulations.
How does NZDD work?
Each NZDD token is backed 1-to-1 with New Zealand dollars. That means for every NZDD in circulation, dollar cash is stored securely in a local bank.
Minting is a process whereby NZD cash is locked into a reserve as new NZDD tokens are added onto the blockchain. Only accredited wholesale parties can request ECDD Holdings Ltd. for large-scale minting of NZDD.
However, through Easy Crypto, anyone who holds NZDD can easily convert it back to NZD cash through our regular sell order processes. If you’re interested in owning some NZDD, you can also buy them through us.
