The World Has Gone Insane

Jenny, Jekyll, and Haylee were laughing in the living room. Jenny picked up her cup to take a sip of tea, but found it empty. "You looked so disappointed." Jekyll laughed. She gave him a poisonous smile, "You won't be laughing when I spill your tea on you!" She threatened standing up. "NO!" Jekyll grabbed his mug and held it close to his chest. Haylee laughed, "That won't stop her, Jekyll!" Jenny inched closer to him. "No. Please! Not the tea!" He yelled pathetically. Jenny laughed evilly, stretching her hand out. She tapped the bottom of his cup, and he flinched. "Two for flinching." She said as she punched his arm twice. He glared at her, "You are so evil." She shrugged, "I know." She started walking to the kitchen, and she was under the skylight when she heard something.

"Do you guys hear that?" She asked. They all stopped laughing. With it being a busy city, it was hard to concentrate on one sound. "No." Jekyll said. Jenny tilted her head. "It sounds like something scarping against glass." As soon as she said it the skylight shattered. Jenny flung her arms over her eyes so glass wouldn't harm them. She felt someone grab her hair near her scalp, and pulled her head back. She felt a cold blade against her neck. "I know how precious she is to you, Jekyll, and I know that it would kill you if I killed her. Don't move and she won't be harmed." Jenny's heart started to beat adrenalin through her. "Hyde! Stop what you're doing!" Jekyll yelled, and Haylee started to make a move for her Dagger. Jenny could feel the blade bite her skin and a few drops of blood run down her neck. "Haylee, Jekyll, run!" She managed. "You do that and she'll die." Hyde growled. "Then make it my dying wish!" Haylee knew what that meant. It meant that Jenny called 911, and they were probably zoning in on that location as they spoke. Haylee nodded, and grabbed Jekyll's wrist, running out the door. "Jenny!" He yelled as he saw the horrific sight of Hyde running the blade across her neck. Jenny fell to the floor. Okay, you need to stay awake. No matter how sleepy you get, you must stay awake. Stay awake until you hear the sirens, then you can sleep. Jenny told herself. She found it rather difficult to breath. You are not going to die because scum like Hyde decided to cut your throat. You're a trooper, Jenny. Live! Live for Haylee, and Jekyll! She heard the ambulance arrive. Stay awake. Black spots had started to cloud her vision. An EMT came through the door, he rushed to her side. "Ma'am? I need you to stay awake for a few more moments." He sounded calm, but his hands were frantic. She couldn't stay awake any longer. "I'm sorry, I can't." She whispered. The blackness took over.
