Haylee was back in school. The performance date was coming up for Jekyll & Hyde. Hyde had laughed when he found out and even volunteered to help Haylee rehearse, which she accepted. She needed the extra practice. She had moved in with Hyde but hardly spoke to him. He never hurt her during the practices, and surprisingly enough he had left Jenny alone. The performance was next week. Surly Jenny knew this. There were posters everywhere. Her birthday had come and gone. Hyde had given her a dragon necklace that was a hidden knife. She missed Jenny and Jekyll. Each day she tried to call but it wouldn't go through. Soon she threw herself into projects. At that time it was writing. Hyde would watch everyday as Haylee poured words on to paper. It didn't matter what it was, lyrics, poetry, short stories, unfinished novels, or letters to no one. "You never talk my dear." Hyde said. Haylee pierced her lips tightly together. "It's almost as if you don't like me." he smirked. Haylee continued to write. "The only time you talk to me is when we are practising. Not that I mind. You play a very convincing Lucy." He grinned. Haylee scowled at him. She had almost wished she had gotten the role of Emma instead, if it weren't for the music. She looked at her watch. It was practice time. She silently stood and stepped out the door. She walked down the street singing a few bars to warm up, then popped a cough drop in her mouth and hummed a few measures of one of her songs. It was going to be a long day.
