The World Has Gone Insane

Jenny was going to get Haylee back even if it killed her. She was mastering weapon after weapon. The dagger was her first, but she had it pretty much down. She could hit her target from 50 yards away. She had transferred to a college in New York, and used all of her spare time to work on the weapons. She found she liked sharp weapons better than guns. Guns were loud and they kicked. But sharp weapons, they were easily hidden, could move through air as if it were nothing, and didn't kill. Jenny didn't want to kill Hyde. She was not going to drop down to his level. She was only going to hurt him, injure him enough so that he would be defenceless enough not to stop her from taking Haylee back.

She ran her fingers through her hair, catching four arrows between her fingers. She threw them at the target, all of them hitting the bulls-eye. "Remind me not to get on your bad side." Jekyll said behind her. Jenny and Jekyll lived in a loft that Jekyll was able to buy. It had plenty of room. Jenny had her own bedroom and bathroom, and Jekyll had his. There was enough space for a dinning room, kitchen, a study room for Jenny, and a laboratory for Jekyll. Not to mention a room that Jenny could use for target practice. Jenny looked at Jekyll. "I brought tea. You've been here for hours with nothing to eat, I figured you needed something." Jenny didn't say anything. "Jenny. You've hardly eaten for two months, you get maybe three hours of sleep every night. You get up, go to school, come home do your homework and practice. Jenny you haven't said a word to me for three months." He grabbed her hand and held it like a father would. "Please. I don't like seeing you like this. It scares me. I keep thinking that the next time you see Hyde, you're going to kill him!" Jenny pulled her hand away and glared at him. How could he think such a thing? "Please, Jenny. It hurts me that you're doing this." He took care of her. That was for sure. He sighed, "You're not going to stop until Haylee is back, are you." It was more of a statement than a question. She shook her head, letting him know that he was right. She wouldn't stop until Haylee was back, or at least  knew that she was unharmed. Jekyll sighed, frustrated that he couldn't help Jenny. He grabbed her by the shoulders and pulled her into a hug. "Don't push yourself, too hard, please?" He pulled away, and Jenny nodded, letting him know that she wouldn't. He smiled and kissed her forehead, "Good." He whispered. He started to walk out, and Jenny went back to target practice. Jekyll looked back at Jenny. He was worried about her. She was so determined it was dangerous.
