The following cases were heard at Poole Magistrates' Court:
AARON HORSWILL, 34 and of Westover Road in Bournemouth, admitted to three counts of possesson of a controlled drug of class A, namely heroin and cocaine, on Westover Road and Cambridge Road on September 5 and Chine Crescent in Bournemouth on October 6. He also admitted to theft from a shop, namely £68 of items, from Co-op on Queen’s Road in Bournemouth on November 22. Horswill admitted to two counts of common assault and possession of an offensive wepaon in a public place, namely a bladed item, on Old Christchurch Road on December 24. Horswill was jailed for 11 months because the offence was comitted during a suspended sentence and ordered to pay £300 in compensation.
AHMED QASIM, 34 and of Meyrick Road in Bournemouth, admitted to using threatening/ abusive/ insulting words/ behvaiour with intent to cause fear of/ provoke unlawful violence on Meyrick Road on November 26. Qasim was jailed for four weeks because he is a serving prisoner, and ordered to pay a victim srucahrge of £154.
REBECCA HOLWELL, 39 and of Sterte Road in Poole, admitted to driving a motor vehcile when alcohol level abopve limit, namely 198mg/l, on Clarendon Road in Poole on November 10. Holwell was handed a community order for 12 months, must complete 60 days of alcohol abstincnece, 10 days of rehbalitaion activity, disqualfied from driving for three years, fined £40, ordered to pay £85 in prosecuiton costs and a victim surcahrge of £114.
BEN SOMERVILLE, 27 and of Shinfield in Reading, admitted to assault by beating on Trickett’s Lane in Ferndown on February 1. Somerville was conditionally discharged for six months, ordered to pay £85 in proseuction costs and a victim surcharge of £26.
CLAIRE MILLER, 39 and of no fixed abode, admitted to possession of a controlled drug of class C, namely gabapentin on Chapelhay Heights in Weymouth on October 18. Miller was conditionally discharged for 12 months.
JOHN JOYCE, 58 and of Chesterfield Road in West Ewell, admitted to exceeding a 30mph limit, namely 36mph, on A350 Spetisbury on December 6, 2023. Joyce was fined £100, handed three penalty points, ordered to pay £100 in prosecution costs and a victim surcharge of £40.
DAVID MARTIN STOKES, 60 and of The Close in Charlton Marshall, was found guilty of exceeding 30mph, namely 36mph, on A350 Spetisbury on September 6, 2023. Stokes was fined £220, handed three penalty points, ordered to pay £225 in prosecution costs and a victim surcharge of £88.
ANTHONY HEAD, 52 and of Suffolk Road in Bournemouth, admitted to two counts of theft from a shop, namely £63.91 of alcohol on September 2 and bottles of wine to the value of £59.94 on November 9, from HomeSense at Redlands in Poole. Head was fined £120 and ordered to pay £63.91 in compensation.
AARON POLLITT, 30 and of Westover Road in Bournemouth, admitted to criminal damage to a glass door belonging to King Edward Court Limited, possession of a controlled drug of class A, namely cocaine, and possession of a controlled drug of class B, namely cannabis, on November 26. He also admitted to criminal damage to property, namely a glass door at Godfather Pizza in Bournemouth on February 21. Pollitt was fined £200, ordered to pay £85 in prosecution costs and a victim surcharge of £80.
CAROLINE HOBBS, 50 and of East Street in South Molton, admitted to driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level above the limit, namely 75mg/l, on Poole Road in Branksome on February 22. Hobbs was disqualified from driving for three years, fined £250, ordered to pay £85 in prosecution costs and a victim surcharge of £100.
