The World Has Gone Insane

Jenny was on the roof of the building that the letter seemed to fall from. She looked for any clue as to who it was, but found none. She couldn't even find a foot print. She stomped her foot in frustration. Who could be E.H.? She thought to herself. She looked at her watch, almost midnight. She sighed, knowing that no one was missing her, but she still had class in the morning. She carefully climbed down the ladder on the side of the building. She put her head phone in, and turned on her music, but not up. If someone was following her, she wanted to know.

She got back to her bedroom, with out incident. She turned on her desk lamp and looked at the writing on the letter. It was small and flowing, but it had the hard edge that only men's writing had. What does he mean, "Talking to the enemy"? What enemy? Sure there was a lot of people that didn't like Jenny, and there were a lot of people Jenny didn't like, but she never considered them enemies. Just people she didn't get along with. She sighed, her head ached from thinking too hard. She turned off her light, and crawled into bed.

She groaned when her alarm went off. She turned it off and fell out of bed on to the floor. She laid there for a while, not wanting to move. Finally she got up, and put on the first clean thing she found. Jenny grabbed her phone, and looked at it. "One missed call" It told her. She looked to see who it was. "Oh, Haylee, I'm sorry." She mumbled to herself, feeling terrible for missing her friends call. She pressed the call back button. She grabbed her book bag, and keys as the phone rang. "Hello?" A groggy Haylee answered. "Hey, sorry I woke you up but I noticed that you called me, I was wondering if anything is wrong." Jenny told her walking towards her class. "Oh. I was just going to tell you that I was awesome and stuff, you know." Jenny smiled, "Who's the most conceded?" She said in her usual sing song way. "Haylee Heather Hyde." Haylee laughed at Jenny's comment. "Well I guess that you want to go back to bed." There was a pause on the other end, "No, I have early class, and you woke me up just before my alarm." As soon as Haylee said it, Jenny heard the buzz of her alarm clock from the other end. "Well, I'm going to my class for today. Call you later." Jenny said. "Okay, love you, bye." Haylee said. "Bye."

Jenny opened the door to her class, and found her regular seat. She was about to sit down, when she saw something out of the corner of her eye. On her seat was another envelope, with the same was seal. She picked it up and looked around the room. It was seemingly empty, with the exception of a few students scattered around the room. Jenny took a deep breath, and just as carefully has she had done the night before, opened the letter.

Again, you talk with your enemy. The key is her name.

Yours Truly,
E.H.
