As for the young woman who had summoned her, Sophie was sitting upon her bed; dressed in a long shirt and panties. She was smiling, her eyes closed as her head rested against Crowley's shoulder. For her part, Crowley had an arm wrapped around Sophie's shoulders, keeping her close as they sat there.

'I didn't communicate enough, I didn't offer the option for us to stop. For God's sake, he probably thinks I just wanted a good shag out of him and nothing more! It won't be long now before he'll want nothing to do with me.'
I pressed my palms into my eyes as a frustrated groan left my lips. My thoughts were practically screaming, shrieking like demons, with only the pounding of my aching head being heard above them.

She was mentally unstable and used to berate him constantly and would smack him in the head all the time. It really pissed me off. Then one night she threw hot coffee in his face and tried to stab him with a screwdriver. The cops hauled him off to jail because she made up a sob story that painted herself as the victim.
Once he left her, he stayed with me and it was a nightmare. She stalked him and me. She would drive by my house obsessively at all hours of the day and night (her muffler made a weird sound so I know it was her). She started showing up at my job, showing up at the places I frequented around town, and filling up my voicemail with dead air. The cops were no help.
One day she got bold enough to talk her way into my home by conning my elderly grandmother, whom I was taking care of, while I was out. She went in my room and went through my stuff (creepy), then found him napping on the couch and attacked him. My grandmother witnessed the whole thing. He grabbed her by the arms, forced her out the front door, and locked it. The cops were called again. They said they’d go and ‘talk’ to her.The next day we were watching a movie and there was a knock at the door. The police had come to arrest him. She filed a complaint against him and shown off some bruises on her arms from the altercation that she swore were completely unprovoked. My grandmother saw the whole thing since she was in the living room too and testified on his behalf. He still ended up serving jail time.

Because after she was done, she’d tell him she loved him, that he didn’t have to worry about talking about his interests with her because she loved hearing about them, how he didn’t have to worry about crying in front of her because she wouldn’t think any less of him. She would speak of their future and her amazing laughs and smiles she would share with him, she would comfort him when he was sad and tell him everything he wanted to hear.And that’s how he didn’t “escape and survive” for 2 years, and tolerated endless abuse. He finally left when his brother-in-law invited him and his “girlfriend” to his house to play games and hangout for 4th of July. Unbeknownst to the maggot, his BiL had security cameras around his house from a former break in, and those same cameras caught her punching, kicking, and swinging at him with a metal knife-sharpening rod (I don’t know what they’re called but they’re the heavy ass metal ones the chefs use) because he said that he wasnt comfortable with her driving after she drank the whole night.His BiL promptly kicked her across the room as she was hitting him and got him locked in a room and her out the house with threats of the police. It took a solid 3 weeks of slowly opening up to his family, telling stories, ignoring berating texts and calls and threats from her, and having to move all of his stuff out of their shared apartment in the 6 hour window she was at work because he was genuinely terrified she would show up.Endless nights were spent having panic attacks, nightmares, being coaxed into getting therapy and counseling, and finally admitting to himself that he had been abused. And after that, was a flurry of him trying to get acceptance. Almost every domestic abuse counselor was marketed to women, as well as meetings where he was the only man in the room; people assuming he was gay and had to have been abused by a man, or that his girlfriend was a martial arts master or other countless ridiculous things instead of just accepting that he was a victim of domestic abuse by a woman, as a man.Does the domestic violence against women outweigh the violence against men? From the studies, most likely. Does that make either violence easier, more acceptable, less traumatic or less debilitating? Fuck. No. So, in conclusion, men can be, and are being abused. Is it different than female abuse? Yes. But poisoning someone’s drink is different than poisoning someone’s food, but it is still poison. So get y'alls heads out of y'alls asses and help men instead of spouting a bunch of shit at them to make yourself looks like the bigger victim. Say “Our cases are different, but are both traumatic and painful, and I will do all I can to help”To ALL domestic abuse victims. rbdecepticon17RebloggedhelloitsmzhydeFollowHello it's Mz. Hyde here! I know that I am probably really late on this because it's the last day of April which is Autism Awareness and Acceptance month! Now one thing you all may not know about me is that I am on the spectrum myself! And one of my special interests for the past few years of my life has been the webcomic The Glass Scientists by @arythusa! I highly reccomend for everyone to check out this beautiful and fun webcomic! One of the things that makes TGS so special is the diversity of the cast of characters! You have POCs, you have gay characters and bi characters and trans characters and characters who have disabilities and everything in between! This diversity also extends to neurodiversty. Now, a lot of fans head canon that Jasper is on the Autism Spectrum and I TOTALLY agree with that! But when I look at this picture below, I see TWO men on the spectrum. That's right everyone! I believe that Dr. Henry Jekyll himself is on the autism spectrum! And I'm going to give you a couple of reasons: Before we start I want to give a brief warning that I may go back and forth between saying 'autistic people' and 'people with autism'. I know that a lot of people may prefer the latter term, but I personally don't mind either one. It is always a good idea to ask the person first which one they prefer! Now without further ado, here are 5 big reasons why Dr. Jekyll is on the Autism spectrum:1. An inherit need to follow a routine and to organize things:A lot of people with autism prefer to do things their way, even when it doesnt seem to make any sense to everyone else. In addition, a lot of parents of children with autism (including my own) have reported seeing their child line up and organize their toys. Early on in the comic, as well as in tumblr posts by @arythusa, we see that Jekyll keeps a strict routine. He HAS to have a cup of tea in the morning or else he just doesn't feel normal. We see that he is very organized and keeps special chemicals on display in his office. 2. Signs of a special interest: Most autistic people have at least ONE special interest. These special interests can range in a variety of areas and can last for a long time or even be lifelong. Jekyll's special interest is totally Neo-Alchemy, but he also shows an interest in really any science at all! He seems to love anything conducted with the good ol' scientific method. But like many people with autism, he is afraid to annoy people from talking about his special interest for too long. Which brings us to...3. ComorbiditiesMany people with Autism are also diagnosed with other mental and neurological conditions such as OCD, ADD/ADHD, depression and anxiety. Throughout the comic we see Jekyll constantly worrying about whether or not he is a fake and if everyone really hates him. These of course, are signs of anxiety and depression. Now this begs the question: Does this make Hyde a representation of Jekyll's autism? And the answer is NO. I dont think Hyde is a representation of any particular mental illness (though if I had to pick one it might be ADHD. The man has the focus and the attention span of a housefly, but I digress.) But I DO think he is the result of the years and years of self-hatred and oppression Jekyll has gone through all his life. Think about it: what if you went through life loving something that people tell you is evil and gross and wrong? THAT'S WHAT JEKYLL WENT THROUGH! 4. Signs of maskingFor those of us on the spectrum, we often do not understand social cues or what is considered to be proper behavior naturally. Instead, we must be taught how to socially function in society and try to be as 'normal' as possible and repress the urges to do 'weird things'. And so we learn how to mask ourselves and fit in as much as we can. Now, I'm not saying that learning how to make friends or when someone is being sarcastic is bad! But more people should be cognizant of what masking is! With that being said, this is exactly what was happening when Lanyon was teaching Jekyll how to be a gentleman. Sure, there are things like waltzing and which out of three forks to use that the average person won't know, but Lanyon had to teach him how to SMILE. Now one last thing, and this is really a big coincidence, but Jekyll wears a lot of red and red is the color that many people with autism, including myself, wear during April. This is because Autism Speaks, which is a horrible organization that promotes EUGENICS to cure Autism and steals money from well meaning people who think their donations will go to support families of autistic people. Their famous 'Light it up blue!' campaign attracts a lot of attention. So, the Autistic community is trying to get that attention back by wearing 'red instead'! So be like Dr. Jekyll and wear red not only in April, but every month of the year to show your support for people with Autism! And let's not forget Jasper! But when he looked up, features now painted by light shades of blue, he spotted a familiar plaque. The Hall of Memories. And then, a realisation hit him. He was being carried through the doorway over Dr Moreau's ghastly shoulder! Almost immediately, he began to kick and punch at the disfigured nightmare's frame; growling and snarling like a cornered animal."Put me down, you stupid git! How are we supposed to deal with Jekyll if we're down here?!" He spat as he dug his fingernails deep into Moreau's back.
