Wide Slash (Japanese: すいへいぎり Horizontal Cut) is a damage-dealing typeless move introduced in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team.

Effect

Generation III

Wide Slash will attack foes on the three tiles in front of the player; diagonally and directly across. Its power can be raised through Ginseng. It has the standard critical hit rate of 12%. As it is a typeless move, it bypasses Wonder Guard.

Generation IV

Wide Slash now has a base 8% critical hit rate, in line with other moves of average critical hit ratio.

Generation V onwards

Wide Slash cannot be used.
