Many started to crowd Ryker, yelling about their broken shit, asking if he had any shame for himself. Do they not appreciate him for saving them from such ugly items, he thought? Ingrates, he believed. They all complained about it, their voices kept getting louder and louder.

Eventually it just devolved into many of them just yelling about how the young man broke something they adored or cared about. "Do they THINK I care?! No! Not at all. Maybe they just don’t see my intention!" He thought, his eyes twitching from annoyance.

One of them kicked Ryker to the ground, letting him nearly bust his head open on the ground. He almost had the nerve to punch them back.

The man was watched by what felt like many eyes, all of them yelling, screaming or crying. He hated the sound so much. Their whining wouldn’t excuse it! Not at all.

"So not only do I have a fucking crowd yelling and screaming at me, now I think I’ve done it! They’ll hold my head on a stick or something! I’ll be beheaded. But who cares! I may be able to take these bastards in a fight, anyways!" Ryker thought, noticing the angry crowd's lack of weapons. He simply couldn't bear another second of this ruckus, about to take this into his own hands...

That’s when someone came out of the crowd, a lady with dark teal eyes like the sea and platinum blonde hair like ivory approached me. Her outfit was quite similarly colored to her appearance, dark blue and a beige colored dress shirt, with a white bow tied across her neck, she approached Ryker, as he got a closer look at her face as she begrudgingly approached him, he noticed she had slightly visible bags under her eyes, and she had a faded scar across her face, as if she had gotten into a fight a plenty, her boots were definitely made of leather, brass buckles on each side, faded by time.

She spoke with a hardened voice, it sounded tough. “I’ll handle the rowdy young man.”

“…What the fuck do you think you’re doing by breaking and smashing all of these items? You do know breaking so many things in one day costs a hefty fine?”

She looked down at Ryker, leaning over, her brows furrowed.

"If I had cared, I would have kept my hands off of your property. I simply don't believe you have proper living conditions, using items of such quality." Ryker scoffed, looking away. The lady gave me a dirty look.

"...May I ask you another question?"

"Indeed, ma'am, go right ahead."

"Must I send you off to a sanitarium instead of prison with that tenuous reasoning? I can hardly believe you're not being ironic at this very moment."

Ryker became silent, on the verge of choking this audacious bastard until she can't talk anymore. She noticed, letting out a sigh.

”…Look, if you’re a lucky guy, we can let you off with a hundred pound fine. But I’m telling you, do not be going around smashing priceless items like you're the king of the world or something. Not all of us have money, you know. Damn, just use common sense, at least...”

She stood over Ryker, like she was the boss of everything. She seemed powerful, but at the same time, powerless. She seems like she was a pawn in the way, one that is doomed to be captured.

“…I’ll just introduce myself later, right now is not the time for introductions. You’re a wanted man until you pay that hundred pound fine, you know? And you better not try to evade it, or you're a dead man.”

She said, begrudgingly holding out a hand toward Ryker, helping him up. She wore thin, white gloves on her hands.

“—Well, you’re quite a talker. My... I almost fell asleep.”

Ryker replied, letting her pick him up off the ground, dusting himself off. She was not exactly lanky, in fact, she was well-built. She didn’t have obvious muscles, but if you looked close enough you’d see it.

“…For now, pay up. They’ll probably be able to get their shit together after this.”

Ryker looked away, scoffing. "Hmp. You think I simply have all that on me at the moment? Not all of us have quick money, you know." He hissed, giving the lady a side eye.

She crossed her arms. "I said that before and you didn't care until it was you being fined. How ironic." She made a bitter grin, staring down Ryker. The man, in response, groaned before rolling his eyes.

"Ugh, whatever... I'll just use a cheque. You take things like that, right?"

"...Yes, yes, as long as you pay up. Just don't expect me to be very lenient next time."
