>let
Lmao, if WWE actually wanted TNA, they'd just hand Anthem the money and take it. TK bought ROH for pennies, TNA can't be worth much more. But no, they won't do that so MLW doesn't hit them with another unfair practices lawsuit
>>
>>17373081 (OP)
What can TNA do, realistically, to make them more competitive? They've tried to buddy up with every other promotion under the sun but it just doesn't seem to work out for them. What can they do to shake the last 15 years off?
>>
>>17373372
I dunno man, WWE always has really weird relationships with other companies. Remember when they gutted the UK scene and brought every promotion under the WWE Network? Well that deal quietly expired and now all the UK promotions besides RevPro is fucked
>>
>>17373372
TNA is only worth as much as their TV deal. Their weekly shows get 800 people at best all paying $10-20 to attend.
>>
>>17373394
That was before the MLW lawsuit happened. That's also the reason WWE is playing so friendly with indie promotions right now, so another company can't sue them for unfair practices and get a few million dollars in a settlement out of court
>>
>>17373389
I felt that they should’ve got rid of the impact the name because impact alone had enough of a stink to it and then After like a decade of me feeling like that, they fucking went back to TNA itself, which is the ultimate stink. Whether it’s fair or not, whether it’s the same people or not whether it’s good wrestling or not there’s a great portion of the fans that are left watching wrestling today that see the name impact or the three letters, TNA and they think oh fuck no way I’m watching that I gave that shit. 900 chances back in the day and every time it was stupid. They’re not getting another chance out of me. They think they have some grand legacy. It’s a legacy that they should be desperately running away from. It’s a legacy of emailing the wrong person and getting kicked off the TV network for it not even AEW has been that stupid. It’s a legacy of like a decade and a half of burying every talent you had in favor of literally anyone who ever sniffed a WWE ring. They have such an inescapable stink to them. For some reason, they decide to keep the stink and accentuate the stink. It’s fucked. And they’re still TNA they’re still hiring the lowest of the low they brought in Primo Colon and his brother. They’ve been pushing fandango. Fuck.

This is completely entirely retarded and incorrect. The only worth to WWE is the tape library. That’s the real answer they can put it in documentaries. They can throw it on whatever streaming services around the world that they’re partnered with. They can use it in a Hall of Fame inductions. WWE doesn’t need a TV network deal if they want to get one they just will they could shop another show tomorrow and get a network deal with a network much much better than fucking anthem. The only worth TNA has to them is the fact that they have some TNA guys hired that they might want to make money off of with footage of them in TNA. They can put it on YouTube and just have it be passive income just sort of sitting there for anybody that wants to watch TNA clips of AJ styles or whatever. Learn the business kid.
>>
>>17373521
You're kind of a moron. It's not "to them" it's the ongoing worth of the company, what is coming in. Tape libraries aren't worth shit if you can't do anything of note with them. HoF shit is irrelevant. They're resorting to uploading WCW stuff on YouTube because there's no market. The TNA tape library will be just another thing they own for the sake of monopolising. In terms of TNA as an ongoing business, they're literally worth their TV deal and only their TV deal.

WWE only established a relationship with TNA, and setup the WWE ID deals with indie wrestlers, to hamstring Vince from buying TNA and/or signing a bunch of indie wrestlers. Vince lives in Gaytch's head rent free.
>>
>>17373586
You’re a fucking idiot, tape library is all that matters. Don’t reply to me again without studying.

Literally fuck all of the WWE tape library is on Netflix. Tuning in for the new content is what is driving people. Employ even a little common sense next time.
>>
>>17373887
And to keep anti-trust lawsuits at bay
>>
>>17374664
>Literally fuck all of the WWE tape library is on Netflix.
Because it's all on Peacock, dummy.

>Tuning in for the new content is what is driving people.
Modern wrestling is less mainstream than it has ever been in its history. Of course the legacy content is a selling point.
>>
>>17374808
Bro, the tape library is not worth that much. They can pop 500k to a milly on WWE Vault with a well edited piece, ans that would entail buying the library, storing and maintaining it, paying people to archive, timestamp all of it and edit it, then publish it. With all the cost involved they make a very small amount. WWE can buy TNA, get them on something like CW, and instantly make more than they ever would off the library, and that's what TNA really needs, a decent tv deal and WWE involvement to keep them interesting
>>
>>17374845
The tape library absolutely has a lot of worth.
t. Someone who has only given money to WWE in the last 20 years to watch WCW/WWF on the network
>>
>>17373372
TNA is worth more than ROH at minimum since Tony had a chance to buy it and saw it as too expensive for what he'd get for it. I imagine that'd partly be due to the tape library being higher quality and having bigger names on them.
>>
>>17374905
Yeah, and you are a knowledgable fan who accounts for 1 view. TNA will charge them over 7 figures for the library, the library will make them around 10 million max, and they have to pay staff to work on it and maintain it forever. The profits are minimal. WWE can run one extra show next year and make the same amount of gains. This is what people don't appreciate about the original network. WWE put a shitload into buying old tape libraries, not for the money but just for the sake of it and presenting wrestling history.
>>
>>17373389
They have zero credible main eventers, Joe Hendry is walking aimlessly with the championship while counting the days he goes to wwe, their top mid card act is top dolla, tag division is dead, X division title is held by a vanilla midget posing as a black dude, Mike Satana is being pushed as some sort of future prospect, they have become over reliant on nxt undercarders. Oh and they fired some of their most noteworthy producers. And Chavo is wrestling for some reason.

biggest 2 problems TNA faces (and they are big ones, mind you) are: horrible roster, and being basically unwatchable on TV for most people.
i have no idea how to solve the roster issue. almost everyone they have in every division is dimeless. like the other poster said, hendry is good but he'll be in WWE before the end of the year, hardys are trying their hardest to get back into WWE and only signed a 1 year deal... they have no one else notable. who else do they have? the only other big names like ziggler and tessa are only there because they have nowhere else to go. if someone else worth a shit has had the option to go elsewhere, they've taken it. someone like moose could probably have gone bigger if he didn't have DV charges on his record, that's what keeps him there. tony will throw a bigger contract at almost anyone who gets big enough on the indies. they need to shake the rep of being the retirement home for misfit wrestlers with nowhere else to go. but i have no clue how you'd do that.
the second problem is accessibility. TNA is lucky to draw 30k viewers, let alone a milly. that's because, in addition to their shitty selection of wrestlers that no one wants to see, AXS is a channel that no one actually has, most people aren't even aware of its existence. i'd say they should sell TNA, cut their losses and let it live on a bigger channel, but TNA is what makes AXS money. so this is again another question that's not as simple as "just sell it bro" - that's like asking them to sell their whole company.

>What can TNA do, realistically, to make them more competitive?
Bring back what made them great. Russo's crackhead ideas filtered into reality by Jeff Jarrett. Those two working together again could make it happen for them.
