I’ve altered the AU for my own purposes, mostly because some people write Omegaverse in a way that makes me EXREMELY uncomfortable (enforcing gender roles -even if they are reversed, they’re still not great-, demonizing/shaming femininity, etc...). Also in most cases when they involved mpreg (which isn’t something I’m super into to begin with) it PERSONALLY makes me feel dysphoric so I don’t focus on it or really involve it in my AU. I leave in the dynamics, the Sexy stuff, and pheromones, and carefully leave out the stuff I DONT like. Not shaming anybody else for liking, this is just how I’m rolling with MY au

The straight forward answer: Hastie does view Jekyll as a son. His logic of Murder-Killing his pseudo-son is both out of mercy, logic, and frustration because his Actual son is dead/dying because of him.

Hyde possessed Jekyll when they were both VERY young, so Hyde sort of developed INTO(as in attached to) Jekyll’s soul, becoming a part of Jekyll’s entity. Jekyll basically has free use of Hyde’s power but the strength of it and such depends solely on his relationship with Hyde. Hyde’s on Jekyll’s side, for everything, but not in any good or healthy way if you will he’s quite possessive. Most of the misgivings/mishaps that occur with Jekyll’s power happen because of Hyde jumping too aggressively to Henry’s defense or lashing out as he often does.
