The National Labor Relations Board in a case involving Starbucks Corp. turned aside a Biden-era bid to impose restrictions on employers’ ability to discipline newly unionized workers.
The NLRB dismissed Thursday an allegation that Starbucks violated federal labor law by failing to bargain with Starbucks Workers United over an employee’s discipline. To rule against the company, the board would have had to reverse a precedent set during the first Trump administration.
