Did yall know I like drawing old people? I adore drawing old people. Every old person in tgs needs more screentime so I can get more emotionally attached to them, methinks
Anyway I drew the "Main" tgs crew as older for a bit of fun, and now to give explanations in order of when I drew them <3
Jekyll: Wearing the coat he has is some pre-comic art and I believe was in Cliffs or Insanity. Not much to say in this one other than that the day Jekyll changes his hair style is the day he dies. Bonus glasses and beard version :]
Hyde: Hyde's got the same coat as Jekyll, though a different color. It's canon that young Jekyll had hair tufts before he had the current sideburns, so I changed Hyde's hair tufts to sideburns. I tried to make Hyde's face sharper but he just ended up having Jekyll's exact face shape and now he just looks like Jekyll in a wig. Two versions, a Hyde that looks 35 and an old Hyde
Lanyon: I made him look like his father and rest assured he hates that fact. Absolutely refuses to grow a mustache
Jasper: Tried to make his face shape like a mix of his mom's round face and dad's square face, but it ended up just looking square. Also gave him glasses because his dad has glasses (well I'm assuming it's his dad, could just he another relative, but let's say dad for simplicity) gave him clothes similar to current Jekyll. By this point I'm just always gonna turn hair tufts into sideburns. Jasper's the only one here that I only drew as like 35-40, as Rachel n Hyde I also drew old, the reason for this is that I ran out of space. Was very tempted to give him facial hair too, but that's something I would have liked to have another drawing of Jasper to try on, like I did with Jekyll
Rachel: Made her look like her mom! Added another mole. Changed the pigtails to a low hanging ponytail. And gave old Rachel a bun

She doesn't have a set favorite or one she practices, but she loves watching the lodgers work on their experiments-After they've been dating for awhile, Mr. Carew started mentioning engagement and marriage. Emma got worried because Jekyll had started to get all scared and kinda avoiding her. And one day she finds Jekyll in his office and he just, completely breaks down, confessing everything about his soul experiment and who Hyde really is and hes crying and honestly terrified Emma will hate him or call bethlam but instead she just hugs them and they finally get to fully talk about everything-After this, she starts seeing Hyde around alot more. And she loves seeing him being all dramatic and jumping around, having fun. She giggles alot around him. She can easily see how Hyde and Jekyll are the same and cant fathom why everyone thinks they're opposites-Cuddles!!! Cuddles <3 so many cuddles. Jekyll is touch starved and Emma is very affectionate and together they just want to always hold each other-Jekyll loves his wife, he loves his wife so much, he always excitedly calls Emma his wife and he just loves Emma so much-Jekyll gives lots of kisses! All the time! Bnsksks----------------------@quilna You're the only person who acknowledged that tag XDNow I'm gonna use this as an excuse to ramble >:3-As stated in some other posts I have in the "Vampire!Jekyll au" tag, Vampires as I interpret them are undead, getting vampirism doesn't actually kill you, it's the blood loss/injury/and other such factors. If you didn't die, you can be infected for years without vampire traits or diet, its possible you might not even know you have vampirismThis is entirely irrelevant information to the actual au. What is relevant is that freshly turned vampires are very hungry. There's a high chance they died from blood loss, and they just came back from the dead, so they need alot of blood to replenish and regain energy. I'd say if left unsupervised Jekyll would eat like 5(?) people. Also important note, freshly turned vampires are also rather, idk what word to use, feral? They're very aggressive and confused and cant remember anything due to the whole dying bit, so freshly turned can and will attack relatives and loved ones if they're unfortunate enough to be nearby. The fog typically clears when they're full and and healed, at which point they're usually on top of a dead body so that's fun (dw Jekyll gets his memories back when the fog clears or so, unless- ohoho no memory vampire Jekyll is very fun)(Before you think 'hey, If vampires bite so many people then the whole world must be overflowing with them', Jekyll was also very intentionally turned, whether by Carmilla deciding "Hey I cant find Hyde so I'll just bite his boss" or some random vampire just really felt like ruining some poor guys day. Jekyll was turned on purpose, usually vampires just do a single bite to immediately kill the victim, and then drain their blood, so theres little to no chance of infection. Who turned Jekyll is not important to the story)Now, what happens next? After Jekyll has been turned? He could, in a still half alive half dead state stumble over to the society. Maybe some lodgers coming back from Blackfog notice him and try to help (bad idea) Maybe they have Maijabi with them who immediately notices something is wrong, Maybe no one notices him on his walk over and he successfully reaches the society doors, managing to get inside before his death catches up to him and Maijabi immediately senses it. Both Maijabi options have him taking a turning Jekyll into his room so he (and perhaps the other lodgers?) Can go and grab alot of blood and blood substitutes for Jekyll to drink instead of themOr how about him stumbling to his own home, semi aware of what's happening and desperately trying make some blood substitutes for himself before he goes on some rampage. He manages enough to at least calm himself down and make more, keeping another secret from everyone, another reason to think himself a monsterMaybe he could find no semi-fortunate fate, maybe he died in that alley unable to wake from when he blacked out, he turns in that alley and he has no time to prepare or find help, he's hungry and he must feast. Maybe even someone he knows was unfortunate enough to find him. Brokenshire? Itd be entirely reasonable for him to be there, and no matter his feelings towards the doctor, be it positive or negative, he cant simply ignore the man with how injured and likely dying he is. Perhaps even Lanyon, who was walking back from Lucy's house. Wonder how he felt to see Jekyll bleeding out and dead, likely not even noticing the green clothes with how panicked he is seeing his friend like that, wonder if he even gets a chance to notice somethings wrong before Jekyll lunges at him. No matter who, they wont turn or survive. Just turned eat too fast to infect, sometimes the first victim is even just found a skeleton with scraps of meatIt didn't click to me that Frankenstein's coughing blood and Jekyll is still treating her, man thatd suck for him lmaoan-army-of-nightmares @quilna BSKSNDKS, I dont think Jekyll would want sick old lady blood but thats such a funny thought XDHenry could easily have a slight bit of awareness while attacking the last person! The fog clears a bit with each meal, the last is just when most of it goesI dont think there'd actually be a warning, at least not like actual words spoken, the process is get infected, die, and be hungry. So Henry walking up hed immediately attack. So let's hope Maijabi is alright and there perhaps being some other warning(Ban actually mentioned using a cage, it seems reasonable for the society to have something like that with all the animals, supernatural animals, and zoologists, wonder how'd that work out. Like how'd he get Henry all the way to the room a cage'd be in, find a key, hope a cage that can hold a human sized vampire isn't already full, maybe the other lodgers kinda panicking seeing Maijabi carry a very dead looking Jekyll to a cage with no explanation (as Maijabi needs to get Jekyll in a cage as quickly as possible and doesn't have time to explain or waste his breath while trying to run)I quite like the idea of the lodgers knowing Jek's a vampire in the Maijabi option. Then they get to see him in that blood starved state and attacking that cage, reaching his arm out of the bars trying to grab themI was actually thinking about how Brokenshire is somewhat accustomed to the supernatural too! A bullet to the brain would not kill a vampire, unless its silver. and Brokenshire doesn't waste those by always having them loaded when he typically deals with non supernatural crimes. And he also typically doesn't use his gun, perhaps he goes for some other disabling attack? No matter his attack it doesn't kill Jekyll. And he's faced with a cold dread realization, as those teeth lunge towards him, Jekyll had become a vampire. (And then Jekyll kills him)-------------@bansheeoftheforest There is a cure! Kinda! Yes and no type deal. You can cure vampirism (though its typically rather hard) but you cant cure a vampire. You only become a vampire by obtaining vampirism and then dying. If they tried to cure Henry he'd just go from moving corpse to regular corpse. (However there is a time slot where if you could bring them back life and cure em they'd be fine, y'know those stories about people dying and being rushed to the hospital to be brought back? Yeah it's like that except vampire, does this make sense? Basically if you wanna cure a vampire its gotta be really fast after they die and with great medical attention)Ok now for some cute bat content™This is unrelated to anything you said but I've been thinking about the recent pages and Rachel's apparent desire to tailor things. It's not really tailoring but would her or some other lodger make Jekyll some tiny bat version of his normal clothes? Like, those drawings I did do of him in clothes were less 'canon to the au' and more of 'hehe he's wearing tiny clothes :]' but I could make it canonHe'd accept his fate faster in scenarios where the lodgers dont know, then its slightly less mortifying to him as they dont know its him. If the lodgers do know he stubbornly refuses to admit he likes being cuddled, but sometimes he'll fall asleep on them or they'll scratch behind his ears just right and he just melts I quite liked the scenario of there already being bats in the society, then if the others dont know of Jekyll's state Maijabi will just say that one bat got a bit attached to him"Oh no this bat saw me cry over it after he accepted the strawberry I gave him, Jekyll saw me cry over giving him a strawberry" "I can't believe I've been baby talking Jekyll and calling him a fuzzy little guy" "at least you didn't get scared by him and jump a foot in the air while screaming" "I knew that bat pushed my experiment off the table on purpose" "I didn't take Jekyll for a cookie theif"What would hugging a bat even be like? I've been drawing Henry as rather small, that seems like it'd be a bit awkward to do bdksndksan-army-of-nightmares @quilna I can't imagine why Brokenshire would see a dying man and take him to the station instead of a hospital for help, unless there isn't a hospital near that area, Jekyll's going fast so he takes him to the much closer station where theres medical supplies and some with at least enough medical knowledge to make sure Jekyll stops dying so fast and can reach an actual hospital. Brokenshire lays Jekyll down on a desk and orders someone to help Henry while he goes to get bandages and medical supplies for him(And I keep forgetting to say this but in both options Jekyll loses the sewer water Hyde clothes before anyone can become suspicious/confused) In this version whoever the officer that's giving him medical attention is cuts off his jacket, vest, cape, etc because 1) they're nasty 2) might cause infection and 3) he wouldn't be able to bandage the neck with the clothes in the way. So they just get dumped in the nearby waste binMaybe Brokenshire knows turning vampire symptoms (maybe Jekyll told him once 👀) so after medical attention officer tells him J's dead he solemnly asks if they can at least determine what attacked Jekyll. And the medical tells him it looks like bite marks. And Brokenshire blood runs cold, because some random animal wouldn't go out of it's way to bite a mans neck and only that, Jekyll should've had more blood on him considering the size of the wound, and they only reason he wouldn't would be if that blood was drained. Quickly, Brokenshire checks Jekyll's mouth. When vampires turn their canines fall out and are replaced with quickly growing ones, specialized for their needs. He touches one of Jekylls to teeth to see if its loose. It is. In fact it falls right out, revealing another, sharper looking tooth, starting to show. And knowing the dangers of freshly turned vampires, Brokenshire rushes to put Jekyll in an empty cell. Just in the nick of time, as Jekyll had woken up right when he opened the door.They do go to the society, Jekyll had once said the best way to deal with a freshly turned is find a professional for help. They say they have vampire trouble and Maijabi offers his services. Out of the society and the earshot of anyone, they tell Maijabi Jekyll is the one who turned. They didn't want to cause a panic by saying it inside, they knew how the lodgers wereOoo I like that, they give Jekyll as much blood substitute as they can, but Maijabi has greatly underestimated how much Jekyll would need. So he and Brokenshire (he needs the extra hands) quickly get back to the society to get some more. They appoint two officers (the ones w/ brokenshire in the first chapter of the comic)to look after Jekyll but they get rather scared of being alone with the, currently ignoring the blood substitute in favor of them, Jekyll. J drinks it after they leave thoughSo he's left half aware, hungry, confused, hurt, and covered in blood, alone. I wonder if he doesn't immediately realize he's a vampire and groggily thinks Hyde killed someone and got arrested. Maybe he wonders who Hyde is after he thinks that (in the amnesia route). How long does it take him to realize he shouldn't be hearing everyone's heartbeats, that he shouldn't be able to smell their fear. How long does it take him to realize that he wants their blood. that hes so, so coldTo combat this angst here's a fun idea for the amnesia route I thought of: Sponsors walking in the society to ask where Jekyll is because they had/have a meeting or something. And seeing Jekyll wearing a simple shirt, pants, and socks (the most undressed anyone has seen him) sitting on a couch completely improperly. Who just, looks the sponsors in the eyes and asks them who they are, and the sponsor can just tell hes being completely honest. Which doesn't make sense because just this week Jekyll has asked about personal things about them and called them by their name. Before the sponsors can think much further on the matter Lanyon or some Lodgers grab Jekyll and just, rush out, saying something about how Jekyll is currently ill They're keeping it secret because idk, they dont want people thinking that Jekyll conveniently lost his memories right before the exhibition and that hes faking it because he couldn't handle the pressure. Near all the sponsors quickly figure out Jekyll has amnesia however, and they do believe wholeheartedly he's not faking it though so that's good. Plus! The lodgers realize hey wait a minute Jekyll cant get sponsor money if he cant remember or leave the society right now so they carry on with the exhibition <3(Jekyll uses a potion or something made by the lodgers to hide his vampire features while he's in any part of the society that's accessible to the public) (Does this mean Jekyll becoming a vampire 100% isn't a secret to the lodgers if he lost his memories? Maybe Maijabi didn't want Jekyll to have both memory loss and to keep such a large secret. And without his memories Jekyll wouldn't even think of hiding it)There is also another option of amnesia branch where Jekyll just immediately leaves them after getting the blood he needs, just rushes out of the cell never to be seen again-----------@bansheeoftheforest Actually! Being weaker before death would only make Jekyll hungrier <3But I agree that the society is bound to have some precautions with how dangerous I've made vampires here XD. So Jekyll is weak enough by the garlic blooms in several vases in the path on the way to the cages that he doesn't wake up until safely in a cage with the blooms removed. Or they just make him too drowsy to attack. Whichever Maijabi should be safeAww! He's too embarrassed to ask for warmth, (whether the lodgers know hes a bat or not) so he opts to just tuck himself into one of their pockets or other, and he must feel so safe with them, even when they doesn't even know he's there, to fall asleep easily and without worry of somehow being harmed or crushedJekyll, immediately upon learning he can turn into a small mammal: oh I can be a little fiend, an absolute criminal Jekyll, touch starved, immediately upon learning he can turn into a small mammal: :>Bsbdnsnks I'm basing bat Jekyll way too much off my cat, though he is 100% using this opportunity to steal cookies. And the one time he did knock a lodgers experiment off the table was because it was clearly a bad idea, and probably went against the society rules. I guess I'll just have to link you this bdksbdks)Some lodgers dont have it so bad, they mostly just acknowledged bat Jekyll and gave him an occasional pet. But oh boy, the lodgers who made little kissy noises? Who cooed over him whenever they'd see him talking a nap? Who called him all sorts of fluffy wuffy nicknames? Who asked him if hes a good boy? (Most of these, were much to Jekyll's displeasure) They're never living it down, they lie in bed haunted by thisan-army-of-nightmares @thejeksburyguy Ooo that sounds fun! I wonder how that'd work out on the other side of things, like is Jekyll just declared missing? Is any information disclosed that Jekyll was injured? Brokenshire may be the only one to know for sure, but I bet some people saw Jekyll stumbling around with his hand clutching his very bloody neck. And rumors must get out fast, esp with how famous Jekyll is. The lodgers and co (and most of london) must all be absolutely terrified if Dr. Jekyll was last seen at night in some shady area, clearly injured and stumbling, absolutely covered in what can only be his own blood. Oooo and Brokenshire couldn't much hide what happened could he? Hes too busy securing Jekyll to even think of cleaning up the blood in the alley where he got bit. And that blood only solidifies the theory that Jekyll is injured and probably dead somewhere. Maybe even a scrap of cloth from his cape was left at the sceneTo completely hide Jekyll's vampire status maybe Brokenshire doesn't get professional help. Just bases everything off of what Jekyll told him once, his own experiences, and books hes found on the subject. And he'd have to have Jekyll somewhere in his house for other officers to not know. Does he just. Panic and make a cage? Shove Jekyll in a basement or attic? Keep Jekyll locked in a room until he can build something actually safe to hold a vampire? Where would he get blood substitute? Could he? If he's just buying animal blood I dont think he could get enough as honestly is animal blood even sold by the bucket? And that'd be, very suspicious to just start buying gallons of animal blood. So he must just be slowing feeding Jekyll. And while slow feeding doesn't cause any real lasting harm to vampires (mostly it causes harm after a decade or century) It does mean itll take quite a while for the fog to clear for Jekyll, and for his injuries to heal as feeding is what heals them quickly. So very hungry Jekyll who stays very hungry for like, several months Ah this'd suck with the amnesia branch. I figure Broken is keeping Jekyll until he calms down from being feral and can safely return to the society, both calm enough to not kill, and not obvious or dangerous enough for hunters to find and kill (ooo! Maybe Broken's vampire friend or family member got turned, killed a bunch of people in town, and right when the fog cleared, right when they became aware and conscious of their actions, right when they could be horrified at what they did, get shot and killed by hunters or law enforcement or whatever). But if Jekyll cant remember anything? What is he supposed to do with that? How can he bring Jekyll back when Jekyll bare knows who he is, and more importantly isn't trying to hide being a vampire, doesn't understand why he should have to and doesn't want to listen to BrokenshireWhile Brokenshire could most certainly inform the society and get their help, and have them also take care of a vampire Jekyll who cant remember anything. He doesn't, can't. He's scared the society would hurt or kill Jekyll. He doesn't know them, he just knows they're scientists. And if Moreau could do that to those animals, If Jekyll's assistant could set a whole block on fire, If Frankenstein's story is even half true based on that large green creature he saw. Then Brokenshire feels he cant trust the lodgers at all. He does feel slightly bad about not telling Rachel and Lanyon, but he doesn't know either personally, so for all he knows Lanyon could try and kill Jekyll as maybe a rich gentleman like him believes it's better for Henry to be dead than a monster (hehehe). Maybe he believes Rachel would tell Lanyon or the others, or maybe he thinks shell completely coddle Jekyll, completely ignoring how dangerous he can be!Tbh Lanyon has stronger vibes of someone who'd complain about the bat to someone else, ask them to remove it. He doesn't want to risk it touching him. And since the bat's have been been in the society for awhile maybe Henry n others have made it clear they dont want the bats hurt because just look a their lil faces Robert! I reverse your angst and give to you- Robert was the first one to notice the new bat and the first to call it Henry, as the lil guy's red eyes and red brown fur reminds him alot of his friend <3 and he keeps trying to spoil the bat !!!! New probably ooc headcanon but Lanyon has always loved and wanted a "weird" pet, maybe not quite as stange as Jasper's friends, and not as strongly a want for strange pets as Jekyll has, but something that wasn't a dog or expensive bird that his father always only allowed him to have-----@aimless--jack <3Huh, I do wonder what happens to Hyde, how does Hj7 react to vampirism? I know Hyde already does exist in this au considering I've drawn him, but how does it affect him? Does it do anything weird to him? Maybe in the beginning Hyde is pushed down as Jekyll's mind is currently reeling over the fact its died and that he's So Hungry and suddenly all these vampire instincts are there and Jekyll is still feral by this point, it definitely takes awhile, maybe a week? A month at most? For Hyde to show back up (of course, Jekyll has to no longer be in a feral state for Hyde to start pulling himself back up). But when Jekyll isn't feral/half feral? When no one is around? And he cant feel Hyde and hes covered in blood and everything hurts. He is so, so scaredAnd amnesia, that's even worse, I dont even want to think about it, thatd be such a confusing mess for them and everyone. Do they make Jekyll describe the mystery man in the mirror and shadows J keeps seeing? And realize hes describing Hyde? Do they think some supernatural shenanigans fused them? That Jekyll was keeping Hyde safe from the police by somehow forcing them together with science? How does amnesia even work on those two? Does Hyde remember who he is? Does he not?
