Omg that's a really interesting take on a Coraline AU! I myself have also tried to make one but in mine Jekyll was the real one, the Other Lodgers were willing to do the exhibition and Other Frankenstein praised him and his work! In mine Robert would have been the Beldam and there would be a silent Hyde like Other Wybie was silent in the movie. I always sort of pictured that the finale with the spiderweb and such would happen on Exhibition Day and that all the guests and patrons would turn all horrific like the neighbours did in Coraline

Ok I had a random thought and since you're really good at expanding on ideas, what if, TGS Coraline AU?
Yknow I actually have made attempts at a tgs coraline au before! But it's all gone unposted as, idk, I just cant replicate it the way I want
All the lodgers would essentially be coraline, maybe not going there all at once, thatd be a real nightmare. But perhaps in pairs or more or by themselves?
The "other mother" is Jekyll, and basically the other Jekyll is a proper mad scientist, who tells fantastic stories and shows them the most incredible experiments, exactly who the lodgers would want leading them.
Other Lanyon would be someone who cares about all the lodgers in the society, who does science himself and involves others. He acts mostly like an equal to them, perhaps even a scene where he's covered in mud or something to contrast with canon Lanyon's disgust at Jasper's chicken covered hands? But I'm not sure
Other Hyde is interesting, he's mostly the same, but like the others is seen doing science alot more than usual for him and leaving the "society" less. Other Hyde and Other Jekyll are also seen together very often
The cat,, hmm,,, lots of options here. Griffin's cat, Zosi, Maijabi's zombie monkey. Most likely Griffin's cat? Or all of these for a bit of fun :0
The other world in not entirely a matter of perfect clothes and food. But more like more success with their experiments, more fame, more interaction with Jekyll, and endless funding
Frankenstein is already rather perfect in the lodgers mind, so I think she'd simply be younger, back in her prime and with creature by her side
When things take a turn of horror other Jekyll would be the main interest as he is the other mother in this. Perhaps more wolf themed horror rather than spider? But ah, I really like the "trapped in a spider web" thing the original had going

I FORGOT ABOUT WORDGIRL THAT WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITE SHOWS AS A KID!!! I remember dr2b being my fav villain, I guess I was always destined to love mad scientists (hmm maybe I should go back and rewatch some of the episodes I remember almost nothing) but anyway. Peppermint Cheesecake is one of my all-time favorite crackships now <3

And oo, W*rdgirl episodes are a bit of a struggle to find. There's the pbs kids app, but that only gives you like 3 to watch and only changes the episode selection every one or two weeks?
Theres also a*mazon, which you have to buy the PBS kids subscription, it's like 5 dollars a month? But as usual for a*mazon the episodes are a bit jumbled and with a few missing. (You have to get the subscription as renting the actual series is like 50 dollars)
Those p*rn ad filled sites tend to not have it at all,,
But there is hope! Idk if this website is 100% trustworthy but it's what I've been using :p. Sometimes it says video error to me but I just keep trying and it ends up working

And since tgs Hyde isn't actually evil, just Jekyll's desires amped up and dramatic, he'd certainly like him alot more than Squeaky. So I'd say they'd have alot of fun shenanigans together :>

an-army-of-nightmares reblogged quilna Follow Never thought I could get my heart genuinely racing from doing art but my art programmed absolutely despised me for doing this piece and I was constantly afraid that it would just give up on me for good. It crashed so many times and I lost one of my backups because of it.I wish I could have done more with it - the background could use a lot more work for example - but I wasn’t trusting it any further. Tired. Anyone present who pays attention notices that its the first time theyve seen hyde and jekyll in the same room- at some point the goo-ification happens.
