Sherlock Holmes Chapter One »
YMMV

  • Broken Base: The combat system and bandit lairs. Combat works by shooting off pieces of armour and then using the environment, or the snuff box, to stun opponents before knocking them unconscious, while killing enemies results in a lower reward and Jon judging Sherlock negatively. Some enjoy it for giving the players something else to do besides investigating, especially since Sherlock's combat abilities in canon are often forgotten. Others find it underwhelming and the weakest part of the game.
  • Replacement Scrappy: While Jon has some fans and many do enjoy how his character ties into the overall narrative, overall he's seen as a poor substation to John Watson. He's mainly disliked for how his role through the majority of the game is often judging Sherlock for his actions, which becomes annoying when the player makes a few mistakes.
