This needs to be shared widely:

My change-detection just caught something big:
dei.gov got registered around one week ago - for some days it was empty.
Than a long list appeared, which quickly got password-protected; see screenshots.

It lists short bullet-points about 'wasteful' governmental spending, looks like a list to justify their actions (and what may be to come)

@ireneista @lavaeolus

This "list" of "quoted strings" has all the hallmarks of an AI summary;

Here's my hunch: these are generated from an LLM, possibly trained on whatever DOGE stole

I mean, some or all of them may be "prompt engineering" to tell the AI "what sort of thing to look for"

… If that's right, all of these are invented and this takes "flood the zone" to a whole new level

@lavaeolus that list contains some terribly racist things.

it is also strange that dei.gov and waste.gov web sites are not hosted on government infrastructure at all, but seem to be hosted at a private company:

```
@lavaeolus What do you make of this?
Are these fictitious entries?
@grammasaurus They may be content those DOGE-people plan on using to justify what they did and plan on doing.
But your guess is as good as mine...
@lavaeolus @grammasaurus it looks like someone has been compiling this list for quite some time, either documenting or fabricating things, or both
@aanakino1 @lavaeolus @grammasaurus So if the numbers were fabricated they'd now have created a shared "source" to point to?
@lavaeolus god, it's the even more nonsensical follow up/logical consequence to Palin's "fruit flies in Paris" (the older ones in the audience might remember) 😭
@lavaeolus @kkarhan @internetarchive @SafeguardingResearch
Without specific links and references it's just a pile of meaningless words, but as someone said, great for 'flooding the zone'.
Think I have already seen a Fox fan sharing something like this on FB as 'evidence:.
Would take ages to dismantle and corroborate.
@lavaeolus I checked on the funding for Angels in America in North Macedonia. The grant was for $20K not $500K. Ref: usaspending.gov/award/ASST_NON. I suspect they are finding kernels of truth and then lying about the costs and adding incendiary word salad so the media/dems are caught explaining nuance and they can keep claiming that this is essentially “true.”
@lavaeolus Also, any claims of actions to bolster DEI at the VA are likely about getting assistance to disabled vets.
@lavaeolus Does anyone here have connections to congressional reps? We may be able to source research among folks here to find the truth so a rep can hit back hard with a counter narrative as soon as they try to go public with this.
@lavaeolus
Ooops, sorry for obvious comment. I was to excited to see mastodonian quote :D
@lavaeolus Hooray, I was wondering when you'd make it onto 404!
